The one I thought was sad was the glasses ex scarf now bow tie girl - but happen a reminder that in the Whouniverse people die from time to time.
Remember that the 50th anniversiary episode has a Zygon version of her kicking around (and Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, for that matter) and we never saw the resolution of that. Maybe it was the Zygon that got zapped?Really enjoyed that. One of the rare season resolutions that actually made sense and didn't involve magical pixies. It tied in threads from the rest of the season without depending on them for some deux ex machina. Missy was mad and the Doctor came out a better man. Could easily have been half as long again to give it time to breathe, but it still worked for us.
Will be sorry to see Clara go, but Capaldi is definitely the Doctor.

We had that discussion & agree, needs to go back to 1 story per season.
Won't ever happen sadly.Ratings rule - especially Saturday prime time - and if an audience doesn't like episode 1 of a 4 episode arc they'll not tune in for the next 3 weeks, they'll flick over to X-Factor or something.
This way, if you don't fancy this weeks episode then you can tune in next week when it'll be a different storyline and thus hopefully retain the fan bases loyalty.

Michelle Gomez was the highlight for me, the rest was disappointing, it felt laboured and Danny's plight almost made me throw up. Shark jumped.
+1Can't they move away from earth. The old doctors used to spend a lot more time visiting planets with no enemies. The cyber men just keep popping up every other season or so.

How did a series of memories come back with a body.
Missy has been storing human minds and convincing them they are in the afterlife. The doctor reckons she's been travelling back as far as the beginning of human belief in the afterlife, to gather as many minds as possible. So, any of the people who died and had their minds uploaded to the virtual never sphere would then be downloaded back into Cyberman bodies with all of their memories intact.
I think the stuff in the previous episode about deleting their emotions was to make sure they were more easily in the assimilated into the hive consciousness.
Possibly.

I am ptty sure that he was talking about the child returning at the end in his original human form, which made absolutely no sense at all given what had previously been discussd in the same episode. So, any of the people who died and had their minds uploaded to the virtual never sphere would then be downloaded back into Cyberman bodies with all of their memories intact.

If Itv can come up with a decent sci fi series and put it out at the same time on a saturday night I could easily see Dr.Who being cancelled which quickly, the writing simply isnt good enough for a big budget prime time sci fi series, its like Star Trek being given the In Night Garden scripts..
Also, Danny got reincarnated in the morgue (picks up the paper with 'known as Danny Pink' on it, which is a very odd piece of paper anyway) and then managed to get to the Nethersphere to save Clara (with the same piece of paper) and then back to the Graveyard with Clara again.
It was a very odd episode all round tbh. Odd senseless killings too like the brainy glasses girl.

Peter Capaldi made a special video message as the Dr to a young boy to help him over the death of his nan.

I've been scratching my head trying to come up with a plausible sci-fi answer. But I think I'll have to agree with the general view that it's s lazy writing. Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
