Pants episode.
Series has gone seriously downhill and we're almost into pantomime now. All gravitas is fast disappearing as the program morfs into a full-on chidrens series.
Moffat! Something for the adults please!
Correct me if I'm wrong here but Doctor Who IS a kids show right? That's why its on at 6 on a Saturday and that's why we got Torchwood right?Series has gone seriously downhill and we're almost into pantomime now. All gravitas is fast disappearing as the program morfs into a full-on chidrens series.

This whole series has been thoroughly tepid. It feels like it's going through the motions, and relying on the nostalgia of older fans to kick in when they bring back/refer to ancient stuff from the "classic" episodes. I still don't get Clara either. Nothing is happening with that arc at all - no information, no background, no clues - just grinding through the same "she's different and possibly special for some reason" nugget over and over again. And I don't find her attractive really, so all the winsome quirkiness leaves me cold. Worse than cold, it's annoying.
Thats what is starting to annoy me too. There's no pieces of the puzzle really, nothing to put together. Every episode so far the Doctor gives her a strange look at some point and them later on mentions to another character that she's odd/out of place/strange/don't ask about her. Feels like the most pointless "assistant" for a while.
And Strax always seems to be wandering around old London with no disguise anymore. Did the Victorians think it was just another Elephant Man/Circus freak?
Strax, Jenny etc need to be hived off to CBBC - quickly - to join that talking roller skate that's supposed to be a state-of-the-art computerised dog.

That looks shopped to me, I'm sure I've seen it before with some other actresses head on it that turned out to be shopped too!
Not this....but I think you missed the 'meow' in my post Mrs Kat.
15th post down...

OK, here's my list of possibilities for who Clara is - some more likely than others...
A young River Song
A young Sarah Jane
Yet another Time Lord
The Doctors daughter (different girl I know, a regenerated version?)
Another Doctor's assistant (John Hurt?)
A still innocent incarnation of The Master
Right, I'm spent.

THE Village star John Simm says he is fed up with the attention he gets from Doctor Who fans.
“They’re lovely, I’m sure, but I won’t miss it. It’s great to be into something but for goodness’ sake, really? I’m not The Master, I’m not that evil Time Lord who rules the galaxy, I’m just in Tesco with my kids. Leave me alone!”

This re-vamp of Doctor Who has been marked by a move towards a more handsome Doctor who almost flirts with his female side-kicks. Indeed, he's now actually married and has a blonde daughter t'boot...which means, YES, the Doctor has sex!...something previous script writers steered well clear of.
This new, almost romantic side to the Doctor means that Moffatt will be loathe to employ the likes of John Hurt or even a Woman as that would close off a whole avenue of scenarios that's been opened up since the re-birth of Who.
I suspect it'll be another Young, Charming, Handsome, English chap if only to keep the ladies on board.

Am I the only who will be disappointed with Capaldi as the new Doc if it pans out that way
A fine actor no doubt...but to my mind he's not right for the part as currently written.
For a start you'd have to ditch any sexual chemistry from the plot lines of future Dr Who's unless you draft in an new older/more mature assistant for the Doctor which......given Jenna-Louise Coleman's performances thus far probably wouldn't be a bad thing.

Get a grip of what? You said it was a hoax.
I linked to a BBC article confirming it was true.

Reality? we're discussing a fictional character in a fictional universe. You said it was a hoax.

I did say it was a hoax, that was based on looking at the tv schedule for sunday, and nothing being indicated that there was a program change. Some of us are on our way to work when the breakfast magazine shows are on so unaware of this. Perhaps it is you that should "get a grip on reality"
The link I quoted was not to a known (to me) official source. Sorry if my post upset you, now, back to discussing who it could be (if i actually cared anymore)
You might actually want to first read what you are dismissing out of hand as a hoax...shooting from the hip is rarely accurate.
