In the series finale I expect we'll find out that he was busy doing some timey wimey stuff during the course of this story.
I won't try and guess what it was.
Or maybe he'd just worked through all 15 possible scenarios until he got the one he wanted, and everyone else's memory was wiped after each one.

That would make sense of the "Longest month of my Life" if he'd re-ran the uprising fifteen times (would also explain the convenient parachutes) to find a solution that would allow him to save Clara.

In the episode beneath the lake (and prior re:Danny Pink) he was giving his big speech about how you can't just go back and stop someone dying because you want to and had it thrown back at him about Clara. Well maybe you can't just go back in time to stop her dying (ala Time Machine with Samantha Mumba lick) and his attempts to are just leading to increasingly impossible situations to save her and everyone else at the same time. He'll have to choose eventually.

I reckon he killed her when she was in the Dalek (or before, she died at Christmas) and has since been breaking his own rules every episode keeping her alive.

Speaking of the parachutes - was anyone else waiting for someone to say "Nobody does it better" ?

I was hoping they would kill Clara and keep Bonnie as a recurring villain, maybe even see her pop up as Missy's companion. It would have made a much more interesting storyline than we've had with Clara (she just comes across as really bland to me) and allowed them to keep Jenna Coleman on board.

Did anyone else find that 'real' Clara was much more attractive than Zygon Clara, but it was impossible to say what the difference was?
Quite the opposite here spin

Even the wife agreed with me.
Yup, indeed, hot chihuahua!

I thought these were the two best episodes. Great acting from Jennifer as Bonnie and a chance for Capaldi to do what he does best. Good to see Osgood back.

There are definitely those who think far too deeply about the storylines un comparing to real life but Dr Who is not a documentary (just thought I'd clear thst up!) and so really shouldn't link in with real life affairs.
I agree smile

They've somehow got switched, so the real one replaced the deceased Osgood, and the Zygon one is now with the Doctor?
How can the real one change her form, only Zygons can do that.
But in the Whoniverse, anything's possible if the scriptwriter decides it is.

Yeah that has to be some hint of her demise. I'd suggest she's maybe dying in some way (maybe the Dr/Missy killed her in Ep 1?) and living at an accelerated rate without realising it, but that wouldn't tie in with her being able to be captured by the zygons.

I wonder who they can replace hew with.
Kelly Brook hopefully.

Did anyone notice his age? Can't remember exactly but he's maybe so much older than Matt Smith in America.

Matt Smith's Dr in Day of the Moon was between 900 something and 1000 and something IIRC. Capaldi said he was over 2000 years old at the weekend but then Matt Smith did spend many years on Trenzalore.

Kept thinking of Buggles, the sand effect on the music video Dark Horse and GLaDOS.

To be bluntly I honestly fell asleep so it had the correct effect on me.

Opening line of the episode from Reece Shearsmith: "Do not watch this".

Sound advice. Wish I'd heeded it.

Running around a spaceship/station has become the new running around a disused quarry.

Another dire episode.

Amen. On the one hand, the very good Zylon episode was written by the man responsible for the woefull Kill The Moon, so maybe all is not lost.

OTOH, if this wasn't Dr Who, and was a new franchise I had less emotional investment in, would I still be watching? I genuinely don't think so.
