Sad thing is I think Peter Capaldi is a great Doctor, but the rest of the series thus far is a real let down.
Agreed, let down by generally astonishingly bad writing. And unfortunately he will be remembered as a poor Doctor because of it.
The above is all true, I'm sorry to say.

Didn't think much of that one. Found myself not caring about the group of students and disappointed when they got restored. They just escape with their lives and all they have to say is "there goes the deposit". Get some perspective!

Not sure what to make of Nardole. Not liking him so far.

I found myself thinking that I was watching an episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures

That episode was much more suited to CBBC.

Utter rubbish.

I'm trying to think of a word to describe the last episode. It just didn't move me in any way. So benign. No tension or drama which was strange given the setting. it really missed the mark.

Should he not have been solving the mystery, or did he end up going rogue? hehe

I thought Captain Hastings had let himself go. But he always was a bit wooden.

Oh it must be election season.

Capitalism is bad, really, really bad.

With a quick nod to racism being bad too.

Obviously they must have filmed and edited it in the last fortnight, unless Theresa May gave them advance notice?

Well up to the standard of previous episodes in this series.

Oh sorry, I meant to say well down to the standard ...

All the episodes from this series so far feel like rehashed ideas from previous episodes.
