Seems to be the forumula with TV Dramas / American Dramas:
Series 1: Epic Storyline, everyone loves it, you're gripped. Some unanswered questions teased.
Series 2: Questions get answered, few boring sub plots, but you're riding the eurphoria of Series 1.
Series 3: "Oh fk, what do we write now??!?"

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere it was written as a 3 series run from the outset.Series 1: Epic Storyline, everyone loves it, you're gripped. Some unanswered questions teased.

I thought it was a 3 parter too but series 2 was a pile of st compared to the first one.
Still, as other have said, I am sure there will be plenty of folks getting excited over the next one when it comes around.......not me!
Same here. The second series didn't do the first one justice imo. For too contrived and over acted.Still, as other have said, I am sure there will be plenty of folks getting excited over the next one when it comes around.......not me!

The trailer for Grace point seemed frame for frame exactly the same as Broadchurch.
The mum had the same clothes on and looked the same
Although apparently it has a different ending.
Much of Gracepoint is the same, but the ending is indeed different and there are a couple of different subplots which make it a bit more interesting to watch. It's not bad at all, but weird having characters who are similar but different. Most amusingly, Vince in Broadchurch is Susan Wright's dog, but in Gracepoint he's Nige's character. The mum had the same clothes on and looked the same
Although apparently it has a different ending.
The scenery isn't quite as nice either. But it's still worth a watch, I think.

Damn sure me and the Mrs won't be watching it. We got suckered in to series 2 because 1 was pretty good.

Nice to see the groundsman from that Lottery Winners programme has spent his money wisely and purchased a farm shop.
And employed Lenny Henry! I enjoyed episode 1, very well acted by Julie Hesmondhalgh I thought. Also great banter between Miller and Hardy. Looking forward to next episode.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
