Good ending given the circumstances of the plot. I did think that the line "How could you not know" from the D/S to PQ was too good not to repeat and lo. Danny's mother repeated it to the D/S in the closing moments. I look forward to the return but will either of the main police characters still be about I wonder?

How could ITV not bring it back given the ratings. Completely new story maybe...

I real hope its something quite different several years down the line, not set in Broadchurch again but using Coleman and Tennent again. The tainted detectives brought back but will need some clever writing not to ruin it.

Her and Tenant have been a stellar double act, shame it looks fairly unlikely we'll them again although by the looks of it Coleman is going to have plenty to get her teeth into in the last one.

That line of hers this week "How could you not know? In your own home?" Sets her rather beautifully!
Well done wink

Anyone watching this? I've never seen an ITV drama before but I am hooked, think it's the last in the series next week, who do you think killed Danny?

I think it's the the detectives husband!

Same ending though, the police womans husband did it.

Have script writers got it in for the police?

Wife has watched it from the start, but I've only seen the last two. Was there any significance to the slug?!

Don't think so other than further demonstrating her vast change in character since the first episode.

Other than, would you squash a slug into your carpet in a house you cared about, think it was symbolic to show she couldn't return to the house again, gone from happy family home, to somewhere she doesn't want to be.

That was utterly brilliant, the whole series was superb. The ending was more about the emotion rather than the shock of who dunnit.

Another series though.....going to have to go some to beat that then!!

Superb cast & crew, told a great story very well. Thanks ITV.

Don't want to have to wait until next year for the next series though frown

I've decided from this though, that I really like David Tennant as an actor.
