Wonder why they skipped the 2nd episode of the series and instead showed the 3rd episode tonight
I noticed that on iPlayer, only episodes 1 and 3 and 3 has a broadcast date of 29th April. Episode 2 is listed as being 'sex education', with Lee being unhappy about the twins having SE at school. Maybe deemed too controversial given the protests in Birmingham, but that seems a bit lame.Evangelion said:

Have you seen 'Mum' ?
Yes, started watching the first episode the evening. The son's daft girlfriend had me falling about right from the off.peterperkins said:
The sex education one was funny as fk,but I thought Lee's acting wasn't quite right in places..
When the teacher asked Lee where the eggs came from and pointed to the fallopian tubes with a circular motion he should def have said "The Circle Line"
Yes, it was indeed very funny although I still don't understand why the BBC decoded not to show it last week as originally intended. When the teacher asked Lee where the eggs came from and pointed to the fallopian tubes with a circular motion he should def have said "The Circle Line"

????I think i enjoyed the best evening of television for a very long time, last night.
We recently found Bosch x i love the books
We then watched 2-episodes of Designator Survivor - following the attempted assassination
Then it was Would i lie to you. Always enjoyable light-hearted TV.
But then it was Not Going Out. The Christmas episode had been a little flat due to Covid, but last night has to be the funniest ever. I struggle to believe that most guys on PH together with their partners will not be torn apart laughing. Hugh Denis in particular was brilliantly funny.
If you have not seen it the i thoroughly recommend it.
The evening was sort of ruined with 10 o'clock news. Trump and Covid deaths.

I thought the opposite actually. NGO hasn't hit form for ages now but I thought the Christmas episode writing was a return to some sort of form, one funny line followed another. Last night's ep was too cringe for me. I don't know how people enjoy that. There were some funny moments, the withering sarcasm is right up my street but there was too much cringe. Hopefully it was just a plot device for this particular episode and won't happen again.

Not going out peaked a while back but it was a great episode last night, to be honest I thought it was a wine bottle opener !!
Coupled with WILTY the hour could only be bettered if Bob Mortimer was a guest but Les Dennis did a good job.
NGO peaked for me with the episode where Sally Bretton took her kit off.Coupled with WILTY the hour could only be bettered if Bob Mortimer was a guest but Les Dennis did a good job.
Actually it went downhill rather when Tim Vine left
