This one was abit more serious than normal and an attempt to tie up the series I suppose as there is only one more episode left.

Really? My EPG said 9 of 11, implying two left. I wonder if Tim Vine will be back in given this weeks events.

One of them is outtakes.

the grand finale is on christmas eve according to wikipedia.

Vine will hopefully return for that.

The corny jokes are the best bit of the show.

It is definitely a shadow of its former self since Tim Vine left, although Hugh Dennis has added something to the recent series.

The 'Daisy' character is (and always has been) utterly dreadful and should have been written out when Vine left the show.

I watched it for the first time, (and I like Lee Mack), but I thought it was rubbish..

The punchlines were SO predictable, like something out of the 1970's......

All (imho)
Moaning about a show which has about about 50 episodes leading up to that point is a bit pointless as you dont have the background info.

That said, if you don't like those sorts of gags the shows not for you.
Fair point, but I can only comment on the episode I watched. Perhaps rubbish was a bit harsh.......smile

I love Daisy - think she's brilliant.

Daisy annoyed me at the start but since Vine left they have used her a lot more and she is often the funniest.

IMO a lot of the episodes that are not at the flat are weaker.

I always thought the bad puns/jokes (like about the shoulder pads) were intentional. Personally, I like a corny gag (oh err missus!)

Some of the way that the script sets up a gag much later are very clever, and not always obvious until the denouement.

Brillant finale to the show. I thought they'd really gone back to form at last and we really enjoyed it.
Happy Christmas smile

Happy finish.

Very good, took me a while to work out who the vicar was though!

I don't watch it regularly but it was good tonight. Lee Mack is very good on Would I Lie To You, too.

Tonight's Xmas special was awful and really quite questionable in tone/taste IMO.

Nothing gets you festive like cold-cocking an innocent, defenceless black man with a shotgun to the face and then running around a shop shooting at hostages then aiming straight at the face of a heavily pregnant woman.

The whole episode was painfully tedious and embarrassing aside from that.

Huge fan of Lee Mack - this was crap, way below standard and had a last minute commission feel to it.
