I wasn't expecting a new series as I'm sure Lee Mack had said it had been stopped because he hadn't got the time to write any more with his other stuff. But there's a new series starts next Friday, set a few years in the future by the look of the trailer.

Used to watch this back when he was her lodger. The tension between them (well, his tension anyway) was almost palpable. I've just picked it up (having clearly somehow missed a big chunk) and they're married with kids! WTF? I know everyone watching always wanted them to get it on, but we didn't really want it to happen. It seems to have ruined it!

8 years, I take it, from the wedding anniversary gag.

More promising start than that of the last series.

7 years fast forward it said. Compared to the other crap on TV I thought it was excellent.

A lot better than some of the rubbish that BBC 1 shows at this time. We'll be watching next week.

We really enjoyed it, the situation is more plausible than the original down-on-luck, living-with-yuppie, scenario.

I thought that the bits with the kids were great and looks to have the potential to carry on where Outnumbered, left off.

Yes, it was a bit of a jump, but it was mentioned in a few places that he's done it so he can base it on his own life. Pretty good so far, though I'm missing some of the other characters a bit.
