We've been watching it since its incarnation - fking stonking. Any program that carries graphic violence, sexual content and swearing with always get a thumbs up from me. This last series is just mega. Proctor is 'the' character for me.

Yup loving this show, frustrated at having to wait each week after watching the first 2 series over about a week before series 3 started.

People go on about nothing there being a million channels and nothing on tele these days but I just think they are looking in the wrong places, shows like this are a real gem. Love how it's written, the characters are great and the style it's filmed in is good too.

It's like Strike Back, but with a story and acting.
I did think it was the same fella from SB for a while, but isn't. biggrin
It does great bad guys.

Stands up to re-watching particularly well also. Jokes you missed, fight scenes that are surprisingly good second time around and little snippets of filler you might have bypassed. The style of the whole show is pretty unique.

Yeah I was actually considering watching it again, not many of these shows are worth watching twice but this one had a feel about it that made me think I could watch it again.

Agree with the Strikeback reference too, violence, sex, action, fighting and guns with a bit of humour chucked in. Banshee is just a bit cooler though, not quite as cool as Justified but still pretty good.

Difficult to think of anything in this genre as good as Justified.

Really? Justified is ok but it's not in the same class as Banshee. Literally. It's a totally different type of show.

I watched some of Justified, didn't really get along with it at all. Depending how quickly I finish rewatching BB I might give Justified another go because there really is little else even halfway recommended at the moment.

Rouge law enforcer in a small town that shoots anything that moves, is in love with a woman he can't settle with but has his heart in the right place, yup no similarity in the slightest wink

They are a different take on the same theme, the bad good guy or in the case of Banshee the good bad guy. I think they both have another thing in common which is a really good supporting cast. Banshee has the hotter women, Justified has the cooler leading man. Both bloody brilliant but if I had to pick one then I'd rather be a cowboy with a badge.

I think there is some great stuff out there if you avoid the mainstream channels, but them maybe this type of show is too strong for the mainstream channels.

Well Justified is a Fox show so 'basic' USA cable. Banshee is a HBO subsidiary in CInemax, so a premium thing. Hence the titty quotient.
Crappy purchasing has denied Justified a decent channel over here, but in some ways, I like that. Means it stays a secret. biggrin

For me there are fewer cooler leads than Raylan.

It's not as good as the cage fighter from Season 1 but it's my second favourite now pushing the Albino to 3rd

Burton vs Nola is the best fight I've seen on TV, or film for that matter, for several years. Up there with the hammer guy fight in Raid 2.
