A bit late to the party on this one however I'm currently working my way through S1 (on E7) on recommendation from a friend.

On the basis of what I've watched thus far, I'm not sure why GoT gets so much attention considering this is next level in terms of violence, sex etc.

However a very impressive show given they can weave all of this stuff into the storyline without making it grotesque.

I think it's not high profile enough, so it slips under the radar of the profesionally-offended-web-wkers.
Plus I don't think there are any rape scenes?

There's one in E4 (maybe E5?) with the UFC fighter and the girl who brings the champagne to his truck.

Was she black? It only matters if it's a white woman

Who cares.

It was an excuse for a good scrap. That's all that matters.

I have watched this from day one, terrific show.

Last week they had the most vicious fight scene I have seen on tv, Proctas henchman (who looks like a accountant) ends the fight by sticking the lady from a RollsRoyce bonnet into the throat of beutiful indian 'ninja' women, then puts his hand in and literally rips her throat out.

Don't watch if you are eating your tea

I was sad to see her go, she was my favourite bird in it.

Also in my re-watching of True Detective this week I noticed the Amish girl had a good part in it.

yes she is in that as well (plays a young hooker), one of the hottest babes on TV... she just seems really dirty ;-)

Caught up with Season 3 over the past few days. It really is, as some have said, the best thing on TV.

Burton is awesomely menacing. Such a good character.
Loved Nola, sorry to see her go. But what a fight. (She was also in Cloverfield...)
Proctor is superb.
Chayton is a scary dude.

I hate having to wait for the next Episode.

I agree about Chayton, I think he is actually a cage fighter anyway?

I wonder if Hood and Chayton will get to fight?

I think that she's being saved for S4.

Meanwhile my blood and boobs quotient is being met by Spartacus (though in truth it's not as good as Banshee)

Only just seen this is being discussed on here, season 3 finished ages ago, strange that it's only on sky now, when other US shows get a much quicker airing.

Great show though with some brilliant characters, although you learn not to get attached to them! Been watching since day one, really looking forward to S4 already, will have to rewatch S3 in the winter smile

Banshee origins online is also worth a watch if you're a fan.

Sky have kept some shows for Sky Atlantic only, Banshee, Game of Thrones, Blue Bloods etc.

This keeps viewers with them rather then going to the cheaper competition, in fact it is the only reason I just renewed my Sky contract rather than going over to BT tv.

If there is more than 7 quid a month difference between BT and Sky you could go to BT and watch Atlantic (+ others) through NowTV. smile
