I have to say S04E02 was a tad slow.
I have to agree, maybe we have become accustomed to lots of gratuitous sex and violence, but Season 4 is very slow paced.

I guess 'slow' is relative, the first episode was setting stuff up so quite a lot of plot but this one was hardly thin on moving things along & plenty of varied death, injury & violence.

And given this puts us a quarter of the way through the final season I'm happy for it to move at a pace that lets it be savoured.

Next episode could be interesting going from the title & what we saw in this one.

Really? I thought it was good. Maybe not enough sex then laugh Similar complaints of slow plot development were aired at the beginning of the previous series as well, no one would say it wasn't worth the wait. Nothing wrong with a tiny bit of story.

Does the safe dial still indicate the number of deaths in the series? I forgot to look.

Never knew that. Is it true? Is that total deaths so far or series total?

Never noticed that either. For this series at least the intro foreshadows the events of the episode, so kneecapping or garrotting were shown in photos and happened later on, and looking back they've always changed the intro from one episode to another. Lots of effort in putting those together.

Though my favourite is still the special 'Lord of War' one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7OSNVOY21I

Enjoying S4 so far, thought the last episode was really good. I'll not list all the good points due to not wanting to spoil it. But the scene with the dog and subsequently Hood saving the day (as per) was really good. Torture, Burton, explosions, the hand scythe. Bring on episode 3.

I'm also liking how Brock has took a few pages out the Sheriff Hood handbook.

Well episode 5 was definitely slower, but my god, episode 6 was back to the full throttle Banshee we all know. What an episode, no spoilers, but it was non stop for the whole episode. Love this show, gutted there's only two more episodes to go.

Edit to add: for anyone who's not seen Banshee, series 1-3 is now on sky box sets.

Agreed, Banshee is back to it's best with episode 6. Still feel there may be a big twist in the plot before it ends.

Hard to believe there are only 2 left.

I foresee Burton having a conversation with some Nazis, glasses off.

The way this is going the end is going to be biblical.

What do you reckon, Burton vs the Nazi's with both getting topped with the blonde ex-Russian mafia/Hoods ex, going for proctor and job going for the police insider? Hood going to rescue the fit cop with proctor and offs them (proc and the horny dude)?

That's kind of what I'm expecting... but then I didn't expect Camp Genoa last season, so what do I know?!
