Anyone else watch this on Monday night?

A master thief just released from prison sets out to find his share of the loot from the job he was sent down for and ends up assuming the identity of the new Sheriff in a corrupt town where his old partner has begun a new life. A gang of Russians are also on his tail.

Kind of a modern day western with lots of violence and sex!

I've watched the entire first season. It's a little daft in places but overall a good show and worth sticking with IMHO.

Episode 6 is a particular highlight. Very dark and violent and really well done.

The word "banshee" is a corruption of the Gaelic words "bean sí" which translates as "fairy woman".

Not a lot of people know that.

I enjoyed that, even though it was thoroughly stupid and seemed determined to be everso adult. Quite fun nonetheless.

Didn't get round to watching the other day but have just managed to watch before Ep2 starts in a bit...

What more could you want? Sex, violence, V8s, explosions, bottles being rammed into peoples mouths... He-she hairdresser helpers...

Quality! !00% my kind of programme... It's nice to have something that is adult and isn't making apologies for it.

Indeed, episode 6 was the winner.

It's not just being adult though, is it. It's writing ADULT in big bold capitals on a piece of paper and then annoyingly wiping our faces with it all the time. Something like Dexter is very adult in theme and content, Banshee is adult only in the bolt-on 18 rated elements. At its core it's just the same as the A Team. Harmless nonsense. But with added oral and bone splinterings. Sigh.

At least it's resolutely stupid.

yup - just caught the first 2 epi's... enjoyable stuff (far fetched? Of course but it's fun... the Amish girlie was a pleasant distraction lol.)

Finished watching the first series at the weekend, it's brilliant.

That and Hannibal are my new favourites!

They can't shoot straight for toffee though! Even when 10ft away they seem to miss, lol, and these are the 'trained' police!

The finale is epic!

Just caught up on the first two episodes with OnDemand, thoroughly enjoyed it (wife did too) nothing too deep at the moment, just good old fashioned 'man action' with some titties thrown in for good measure.
