I'm quite enjoying this now. I've seen CA2, when do we catch up to the US?

Nothing really matters, Ali. But since I haven't seen the film and am in no huge hurry to, I may as well see it at the best time.
IIRC episode 15 is just before the film, 16 is during and 17 is afterwards.
17 has a film spoiler in, so i'd watch it before then.

Thanks.

The latest C4 episode was "Yes Men" with Lorelei and Sif (bathroom cleaner?)... which is that?

Edit: Seems that is 15. So basically, I may as well see Winter Soldier this weekend if I have a spare moment?

Yes. because it's a great movie in it's own right, but it will then tie in the details for turn turn turn.

Sounds like a plan, Stan.

If I have time this weekend I will try to see it.

(although seeing films in the cinema is so expensive, and also kinda soul-destroying when single)

The last time I went to the cinema with someone was Summer last year with my Dad. If you exclude my kids then you'd be talking 2011, maybe even 2010. You're there to see the film, not talk to someone. Sure it's a bit weird the first time but it's no big deal really. I was by myself to see CA TWS.

It's a blink & you miss it spoiler, we've not seen the film yet & didn't know it was a spoiler til it was said here. I doubt very much it will spoil the film for us, all it does is tie it in, like the Thor reference.

I do like the subtle little tie-ins as well as the big ones, did anyone catch the Hulk one the other week?

No? That must have passed me by. What was it?

Coulsen was talking to Ward I think and threatened to send him to Alaska to guard Blonsky's cryo-cell for the rest of his career.

Thinking about it, there are actually 3 reasonable sized spoilers in the episode.
None of them will ruin the film, but if you want to go into the film totally in the dark, then don't watch past episode 16 smile

On the flip side of the coin, if I don't see the film then will I be confused by future episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Or is it pretty standalone?

From what I've heard, Ep 16&17 pretty much cover what happens in the film. But I'd still go see Cap 2 though, it's a brilliant film.

Incidentally, the last 5 films I've seen at the cinema have been on my own, best way IMO. OH isn't interested in going and we have a nipper so it's too much hassle.

Plus as I run my own business I can go at 10am midweek when it's only £3.

Agree you don't have to see the film before continuing with Shield, but the show will ruin the film if you want to completely enjoy it.

As an aside, it's a good film and so much better than the first Captain America.

It didn't smile

BTW - if anyone hasn't yet seen Marvel's Hot Shots, you need to - they fill in more blanks (and are hilarious!)

I love the one shots... My absolute favourite has to be "A funny thing happened on the way to Thor's hammer"...
