Deathlok looked awful. This show has the budget of a Greek airline. Not gonna bother investing any more hope in this floffle, but I'll still read the thread. biggrin

Caught a snippet of MAOS last night, it was actually rather good, somebody tuned on someday else! So I watched the repeat today....it was good! Unbelievable!
It referenced the film (which I have not seen) but it's Marvel so pretty basic, you don't need a degree to work out stuff.
I wanna go watch the film now. biggrin
And the episode itself. Yes very good. Lots of sneaks and twists!

I think this series has really found its feet. It just seems to be getting better by the week

Yep, sure has, just as I thought it would (and said as much early in this thread) Whedon definitely likes to build it up!

It was rubbish at the start. In fact it was terrible up until the mid season break. Are you saying Joss Whedon planned it all along? I doubt it. It had 12 million viewers at the outset. It's below 6m now. I don't believe he would risk that. The show is borderline for renewal at the moment and I doubt he planned that.

Initially this was sub X files toss. Centipede was a misstep. You have lots of Marvels back catalogue tp play with, chuck some super people in there. Nice to see a character from the Thor films appear as well. I'm glad I stuck with this it's actually good now.

True, I don't believe Wheedon would've risked a drop in the audience, but the gap has tied it into the film timeframe perfectly.
Admittedly, I was borderline to continue, but I'm glad I have, this extra pace has worked great.
As for renewing, I've heard rumours of a series based on the creation of Shield. But with the revalation of the film, it kinda removes some of the possible intrigue

I've heard that is likely to happen. With Hayley Atwell playing Agent Carter again. I will be watching!

Oh, I'm not disappointed anymore. It has improved massively and if they can continue at this level I'll be pleased to watch

Not as pleased as I would be to watch more of Hayley Atwell though

If the standard of the last episode is the basic minimum of every episode to come...I'll watch it, it is very good.

My prediction is that it quickly slumps back down...I do hope it doesn't though...

Whedon Knew the plot of The Winter Soldier and knew He had to establish the Characters. Hence the patchy early episodes. Now He can let rip and the series is the better for it. It seems the requirements of American TV schedules did not help AoS.

I decided I'll not get round to watching the Winter Soldier so read the plot synopsis on Wikipedia and then watched the latest episode ('Turn, Turn, Turn').

Wow. That was pretty intense. Especially the last few minutes. As Lord Melchett said in Blackadder 2, it "twists and turns like a twisty turny thing".

Two things annoyed me though. How did May miraculously lose her handcuffs and why didn't Coulson just ice Garrett the moment he realised he was Hydra rather than tipping him off that his cover was blown?

I've watched the Winter Soldier and..erm, well I rather enjoyed it and thought it was a decent film actually. I am glad I watched it.

For reference I thought the first CA film was meh to boring, Thor was more meh and Avengers very good.

It makes me wanna know what goes on in AoS now! biggrin

Just watched the latest episode on C4.

Ooooooooh. Love it.

Looks like it's gearing up for one seriously badass battle at the end.
