I too would like to see such a spin-off, but if there is only an appetite/budget for one additional show, then I would prefer to see a second series of Agent Carter.
As I understand it, there are currently two spin off SHIELD series under consideration - neither of which is Agent Carter!

I wish someone would pick it up for transmission over here! I can't be arsed with torrenting,

Watched age of ultron last night, and was disappoint that their was no link to the current plot line of agents of shield.

As has been said it does seem odd that they are going down the inhuman route with AoS when the film related to this is way off.

AoU and AoS spoilers don't read if you haven't seen the film yet.

In the present time line we now seem to have 2 shields (the Coulson one which presently has 3 members & the larger one that is the new shield) and the 'avengers' which on the surface seems to be another shield they differ though in that they seem to have a permanent team of avengers, even if they seem to be a 'B team', It will be interesting to see how this is dealt with in the series, especially now that Nick Fury is back and has resources at his disposal (the old helicarrier) and is in charge of 'avengers'

Don't give anything away, but will put in spoiler tags anyway.

Age of Ultron confused things for me, as has been said there is Coulsons "Shield", the "new Shield" that seems to be a tiny little agency with very little resouces; then in AoU you have the Avengers running around with impunity yet no reference is made to either of the "Shields" in AoS and Nick Fury suddenly gets all these new resources for Avengers at the end of AoU. AoU for me completely ignored the TV series and it was really disappointing it did, as the tie with Winter Soldier was well done.

Yes but only it seemed from Winter Soldier. I must have missed any reference to Coulson's Shield or the BSG one

I'm pretty sure the Avengers still don't know Coulson is alive.

Maybe the problem is timing.

AoS is running behind the U.S. showings by a couple of weeks and we got AoU a couple of weeks ahead.

Perhaps episode that tie the show to the film are coming, we will just have to wait for them.

That said I'm glad there was no mention of the show in the film as there were enough unanswered questions in it already.

For me AoS is the weakest part of the marvel universe. Daredevil created better, deeper characters in 13 episodes than AoS in 2 series.

I'll watch it tonight and let you know. From what I could see Ultron had nothing in it that would really relate that closely to AoS.

And Coulson asked her to keep the fact he is alive quiet.

I cant watch anything with EJO in now without comparing it to BSG. I was a bit disappointed that when they were fighting on the ship they didnt make any references to it. Weedon has done things like that before.

If you want to wind up Trekkies about BSG being better, you could point out that Picard was meant to be played by Olmos but he backed out of it. I can particularly recommend stating that their favourite captain was the 2nd choice to Admiral Adama.

Doesn't make any difference tbh (not seen AoU) but there was nothing that could reasonably be considered a spoiler, even with people being mentioned.

Judging from the comments and stories appearing in my Facebook feed today, the episode of AoS that went out in the US last night acts as the link into AoU. I haven't seen any details, and I don't think it's a spoiler to say that the implication seems to be that it's not quite as direct a link as there was between the AoS episode that fed into Winter Soldier. Seems to have got good reviews.

Just seen this weeks US episode. Looks like it's not revealing anything more about AoU than what is obvious from the trailers. As with Winter Soldier I expect the next week's AoS US epidode will reflect the aftermath of the events in the film.
It makes sense that the big budget cinema releases lead the way, and the TV show follows. There's no need for the cinema releases to mention the events in AoS.

I agree but some complained that as they watched AoS before Winter Soldier, it spoilt it for them as they knew the outcome as such.

Ive refrained from going into the AoU thread and look away from the tv adverts as dont want to see to much
