I like The Fall but they should have had Gillian Anderson as a redhead.

Stella seems to do more slutting about and carpet munching than she does serial killer hunting.

It's almost like the writer watched the Luther box set and has now introduced a serial killer "groupie" so that he can keep the story going in to series 3 even if Paul has to get banged up.

Given they know he's back in the city and he's wandering around the place you would have thought CCTV operators would have been told to keep their eyes open.

I have to agree this seems to be heading off course a little.

It seems they are content to leave him roaming around the city rather than risk him killing Rosie.

Can't they just triangulate his phone and arrest him, interrogate him and finish it?

His exit from the flat wasn't really explained either.

It's the Aaron Monroe and Morgan Monroe stuff that he got tied up in I think?

Is that something from the first series? The heavyweight local politician chap?

Probably getting fed up of being mistaken for Eric Cantona was enough to drive him to drink

The bar is Berts Jazz Bar adjacent to the Merchant hotel Stella is staying at.

They cast the bloke perfectly as he's exactly the type of person you'd find in it.

I remember reading they used to send waiters over to get £20 off customers already in the bar if they wanted to stay and listen to Jazz when they customers had been in the bar for awhile spending a fortune.

Agreed, the hotel stuff was pretty crazy, but how on earth did he turn the headlights off on his volvo.

Same here.

Unfortunately, it has remained very silly.

The first series was sparse, menacing and gratuitous at times.

This series has been quite I disappointing.

Stella's behaviour is odd, but without charm, and Gillian Andersen's acting is peculiar -maybe deliberately so, but I'm not sure.

"The Bridge" could be quite outlandish at time, but managed to carry it off well for 2 series.

Maybe The Fall should have been filmed in Irish language, with subtitles?

But to miss his 'rapey' books in the loft is unforgiveable...

And why is Stella WHISPERING SO DAMN MUCH ? It adds zilch to the moody feeling, but sounds like she's lost interest.
Stella's whispering and weird audible breathing are really getting too much now. I'm still enjoying the show but she's hamming it up like a 70's Bond villain and it's getting a bit much.
