Who was the old lady at the end?
Dunno but, from the Guardian (might explain it) -->

The Guardian said:
This is a strange little scene; an old woman – I think woman – in the intensive care unit, who mistakes Gibson for her daughter. “Thank God you’re here, I’ve been so worried,” she gasps. “Thank God you’re safe, sweetheart.” And Gibson doesn’t correct her, she sits with her, takes her hand, strokes it; comforts a dying old lady who is going into her own tunnel. And Gibson looks up, thinking about her own mother, maybe. There is a heart in there, somewhere, capable of compassion and love.
Cheers, thought it was something like that, as I was on the iPad at the same time I thought I'd missed a bit.

Never having watched either of the first two series, can I watch Series 3, or will it make no sense?
Just watch an episode of 'Casualty' instead.

.

No, you REALLY need to see the first two series.....otherwise you are wasting your time.

I think the young psycho girl who is infatuated by Dornan is going to feature heavily in series three.

She scares the st out of me...smile

I thought it was gripping. I can't wait to find out if 45mg of adrenaline was the right call, or if wasserface will receive a dressing down for not squeezing that bag of blood hard enough. Also, Stella's clothes bag might be moved from one place to another again, which should be riveting.

That teenage girl is by far the most annoying fictional character ever, including Jaja Binks. I hope episode two is a solid hour of her Mum slapping her across the face for being a moronic tt. If it turns out not to be, I can't see me watching any more.

Clichéd as it would have been, I was really hoping for the scene where they'd focus on his face..his eyes would flick open accompanied by an orchestral screech..shortly before he grabbed the nearest scalpel and started stabbing his way to freedom.
Would have been amusing, at least

+1, as above yes

I think only a gratuitous shot of Anderson in her undercrackers can save this for me..

Stick with it, I'm sure things will hot up over the next couple of episodes.

Overall a must see series.

I had been enjoying it till this episode. A must see series? I think it's lost that status completely with this drivel. Bright lights at the end of tunnels? Sudden eye opening moments while the nurse isn't looking? 1970s kid stuff. Really disappointed as I'd enjoyed up till now.

God that was dull, if I'd have wanted to watch operations I'd have put Casualty on! They really are short of content. All I see now is some stupid escape for him despite massive injuries otherwise the game's up. its a 'No from me'.

Might as well have watched a rerun of Your Life in their hands. If I want to a programme about medical operations then I will. Very poor.

Losing interest.

First series was good with creepy Spector at his peak and just getting away.

Second series was still good with creepy Spector finally getting caught and the recovery of the victim. They could have easily have closed on the shooting and no chance of court justice rather than leading into series 3.

So far this now feels like a dull slog of hospital drama mixed with the frustrating bureaucracy of authorities picking at the procedures plus snippets of the mental teenage devotee. Added to that they're now throwing in the slick lawyer and possibly more victims, it seems there will never be a conclusion this series either.

Anderson's voice is completely shot. Nodules I suspect.

I thought at series 2 of Broadchurch was a massive let down, this third series of The Fall tops that for crapness!

Loved the comment on Twitter observing that two characters had aged dramatically overnight, just like those of us watching this story go nowhere.

Just waiting for a Mr Epiphone or Senor Ibanez to appear before I switch off for good, although with most of the top line guitar brands already used we could be seeing Herr Steinway or Senora Stradivarus added to the cast.

Genuinely... where did that come from?
