I really enjoyed the 1st 2 series, but I felt this series really poor in comparison, a real shame!
Me too, just could not get into this 3rd series at all. Shame really but it seems the whole thing should have just finished at the end of Series 2 with Specter dying from his wounds.

So I may have fallen asleep - did he really lose his memory or not?
Yes, but from 2006 onwards IIRC. They ended up finding information that he could be convicted on in 2002, which he could remember, however.

As I saw it, he was faking it - the medical report suggested as such - otherwise why would he be so violent with her if he couldn't remember their prior dealings?

I thought the final episode was pants, but the third series had kept my interest until then. By the end it felt like the third series, and maybe even the second, was tacked on after the success of the first and they didn't know what to do with it.

I don't think he had but didn't expect what happened next.

The way I interpreted it, whether he could remember or not is a moot point. Amnesia or no amnesia, his personality hadn't changed. He was still evil and capable of extreme violence. It is of course open to interpretation, but I believe he couldn't remember, but new he was guilty anyway because of the urges he had and the fact that he had killed before.

Reckon he must have faked it, as part of the act was 'am I that evil man' kind of stuff, when he had killed previous to the 10 year gap, which he then admitted to.

I was a bit late to the party on this one...just coming to the end of series two and love it!

Annoyingly I’ve said I’ll watch it with my other half...only get an episode a night this week...binged the first series in a day when I was catching up!

Holy thread revival!

Just discovered this on Netflix, no idea how or why I missed it on original broadcast as its right up my crime drama alley.

Just binge watched S1 and S2, onto S3 now, am really enjoying it.
