Is Scully supposed to be doing an impression of Jennifer Saunders doing her impression of Gillian Anderson? Because that's what I'm getting...

I'm actually finding it quite hard to watch. They are making the victims into real people, not just generic dead people like you get on other shows. They show fear and distress, and I for one am feeling very uneasy. It's going to come back and haunt me at three in the morning. And the killer is more disturbing than the usual generic nutter. He could live next door.
I think that's the point. Plus he obviously knows what he's doing so only shagtastic Scully will be able to hunt him down.

Once she's finished working her way through the PSNI that is....

I know that's the point. But it's not what most crime shows do. They can't resist making the perp quirky, or sinister, or malevolent.

Don't know about anyone else's Wife, but if mine saw a 15 year old, half naked vixen show up at the front door to spend the evening just as she was leaving for work, me, all my clothes and the vixen would be chucked out the front door.

Yet nothing more than a raised eyebrow when alcoholic beverages were being prepared.

Not to mention the line "She's underage, you know." - referring to the beer, obviously. Surely...?

Have to say that I felt a better person for thinking Nooooo: FFS she's a kid - yet wishing for more gratuitous shots of Ms Anderson in her underwear rolleyes

Looks like Gibsons and Olsens romance was over before it began - I thought they might have let it run for a bit longer biggrin.

I wonder if its me - but is Gibson going to find out things the chief constable dude with the beard and others would rather she didn't. For starters - he didn't look at all happy about her suggestion of being chief investigating officer for this weeks episode.

And his reaction to Gibsons encounter with the journalist - seems to me like he wants to make a big fuss over that issue in the hope that Gibson might not be able to find out certain things.

Probably well wide off the mark though - just a vibe im getting.

The word disturbing definitely sums this up but compulsive viewing.Do we all think it will end predictably with the lovely gillian becoming a target ?

Excellent viewing so far, liking the fact 3 former Hollyoaks actors are in it.

Copper with the 'tache is played by Emmet J Scanlon - he played a fabulous psychotic bad boy / killer.

Gillian Anderson - enjoying her deliberate and calculated delivery. Looking for that dark side to come out further!

Interesting spotting all the places I see every day, the police cars seem to be proper police cars, the white vectra I recognise from my local police station.

Thought it was okay tonight, Anderson really is great in it as is the murder fella, very creepy indeed.

Still finding it a bit hard to reconcile the two main story lines at the mo and the fact that there's only 2 episodes left and a second series has been ordered, I'm starting to think we're not getting going to get many answers.

Boring episode tonight IMO. 60 mins and the only thing of importance learned is that the little girl knows about his murder book coffee

Yes I'm convinced after last night's episode that he is targeting Stella - I'm not sure how they're going to tie in the police corruption or whether it's a side story that has no conclusion

Obviously we can’t give too much away as the first series builds to a gripping cliff-hanger but what we can say is it will be surprising and intense as the first.
Oh for fks sake.

Arghhh! I hate that and it puts me off wanting to watch the rest if that is indeed the way it is heading. mad
