I go to work so they can claim "social". The money I spend on nice things is at threat of being stolen/damaged by them as they are bored or jealous that someone has got something they haven't.

Absolute scum of the earth.

I believe in the benefit system, it's a good system to give honest people a hand in hard times. It's these career morons that see it as an excuse for not working, ever, that do my head in.

After all the quintessentially PH foaming and moaning on this thread - remember next time you knock the Police - they spend 90% of their time dealing with s like this.

(Devil's advocate)

The big fella has worked 23 years before being made redundant in a relatively poor area of the country. That's longer than my entire working life (and I'll bet many other here too), and I've never been on the dole. 2 of the kids are his. Yes there's a large clan already but he can't be responsible for his partner's past. In fact, fair play to him for taking them on. He's no more brash than many of the site guys I work with, for whom cock-and-ball based japes are fairly routine. I know ground workers who would make him look like Mary Poppins. He may smoke and drink, but he's far from the PH benefit fraud stereotype, where there's a Vito on motability and hundreds of pounds of DLA and excuses about being dyslexic or some st. OK he could do more, but he could also do a lot less. His honesty about his situation spoke loads - sadly, as did his lack of humility about some aspects. The 12 year old daughter looked like she had some sense of self-respect too. I think, image aside, they're a fairly decent, together family in difficult circumstances, and but for one or two decisions, I may well have ended up on that path. I'd certainly rely on benefits - at least in the short term - if I lost my job.

The 15yo little , however, is a .

Don't waste your time, unfortunately it was all real and I don't think any of of us actually realise just how many scumbags like that there is in this country and just how much of our hard earned is spent keeping them in fags, booze, drugs and whatever else they care to spend it on.

Utter vermin.

A few years ago emergency services and the bin men refused to attend the riddings / westcliffe estates in scunny as they used to surround the vehicles and smash all the windows in.

Iirc a fireman got attacked with an axe.

Ill see if I can dig the news out.
