Is it real, or is it like The Office?

I saw a few minutes before turning over to something else.

Very Real. I played rugby with "cute Shaun" from tonight's episode. I also spotted another beaut I know in the intro that I assume will feature in the coming weeks (fat toga wearing guy in the car).

A close mate works in the other building (there's 2) and he said the boss is not playing up for the cameras, he's been like this for years! They were there for months and non of them (other than the tea girl) knew whether or not they had "made the cut" until it went out tonight! eek

I saw a few minutes and I think he is a cock already. Yet I bet I'll end up watching it on iPlayer frown.

Nev wasn't acting IMO. I'd expect thats how he is all the time, added with him probably taking the opportunity of the spotlight too, so perhaps added a little extra. It appears, now he's divorced, he doesn;t seem to have much else to do with his time. He seemed to be there for all hours, and doesn't seem to actually have that much to do. He's clearly read the management bullst speak thread on here, as he came out with a few beauts tonight. I would've loved to hear him use the term, it aint rocket salad.

They basically cold call you about every bloody annoying subject possible.

The guy was just about OK but not sure I would like working for him for too long.

I feel sorry for the poor people who have to work there or lose their benefits or something

With managers like him no wonder people would rather be on benefits.

I watched the first two minutes and didn't take long for my blood to boil regardless how good looking some of the employees are.

I deal with these c**ts every weekday and I have little sympathy for anyone works in the industry. Energy suppliers definitely the worst.

Some companies don't use 08 numbers now, grrrrr....

Indeed, can you imagine if you went to the job centre and they asked why you didnt want to work at the call centre and you said it was because your boss had set up a speed dating event.

It's your so called progression that keeps us stuck in recession.

Indeed they do, they switch from selling one thing to another on regular occasions. They trade out of two buildings, last nights building was selling PPI although it showed snippets from the energy efficiency building e.g. mentioning boilers etc.

My friend told me that staff regularly mislead customers to get the sale , he stated "we'd offer anything to get the sale, one boy was telling everyone they would get Sky Sports free for 3 months if they signed up", in fairness this wasn't encouraged by the senior staff although there was a huge case of "ask no questions, tell no lies" he insisted. The guy I mentioned earlier (Jonny - fat guy in a Toga during the intro) has a major part in an upcoming episode and by all accounts, does very well from this cold calling crap. He often states he loves his job etc.

The Tea girl actually had a pay increase when she moved to the "Tea Department", shes on £9/hour, for Swansea that's flipping good!!

I don't find it acceptable at any level to make a comment about a 18 year old girl which sexualulises her in a work environment.

i agree making money is good but you need ethics for long term survival/growth.
