Cheers, I didn't spot the tower blocks on Sunday.

Are my colleagues and I right in surmising that the whole story has taken place over about a week so far?
There was the part in the last episode showing Camille coming back from the bus crash with the caption '1 week ago', so going by that, yes it was 1 week from Camille coming back, to the flooded town at the end.
That's a bit short. Feels like too much has happened / relationships developed to be 1 week.
I'd say 3 would be more likely!

It is the modern town. smile

Ps. The Dam overlooks the town and is futher away than the helping hand centre.
Looks like the dead horde "saved" those at the Helping Hand by causing them to gather there out of fear?. Had they been in town and not hiding out at the HH, they would have drowned.

Finally able comment as just finished watching this. Really glad I set the series link on this just due to catching a few trailers.

I've really enjoyed it, the cinematography, the music, the acting, the gradual plot development, all well done. Subtitles not an issue except when I looked away to eg eat!

Quite a few incomplete plotlines though!! Just as some plotlines were answered, new ones developed!

I predict the second series will end with even more questions unanswered,I will not allow myself to be drawn in again.

I have learned my lesson with regard to French entertainment, must resist.........

The US remake of The Returned (not Resurrection, this one is a direct copy of the French original) is on Netflix, 3 episodes so far, a new one each week. It's probably going to be rubbish, but maybe worth a watch while we're waiting for series 2.

I was thinking the same last month.

Autumn 2015 is when Series 2 is set to air in France, so claims this official 30 second teaser.

I was gripped by the first series, so really looking forward to it.

I'm watching series 1 again on DVD, looking forward to the new ones. They should be on Channel 4 in the autumn.

It looked pretty, and it was intriguing, but it annoyed the hell out of me, all that build up, and nothing was revealed at all

you can't have a complete series adding mystery upon mystery with no story arc, no resolution of anything

I've been resisting the temptation to read the books - Jason Mott - does the first series bear much relation to them?

It'll be released on 28 September according to that site, but I presume the subtitled version will come a little later. Really looking forward to it smile

I've watched the French series and both series of the Yank remake.

The French one was very absorbing. And quite chilling I thought. I will look forward to series 2.

Series 2 starts 9pm Friday 16th October on More 4

That's this Friday !

I wonder how older/taller the little boy now is. Will kind of ruin the not ageing thing if he's played by the same boy.

I couldn't find the French series 1 so reluctantly watch the US Netflix remake. I quite enjoyed it really. Has anyone watched both to compare them?

Well he hasn't aged, which must mean they filmed his bits (or all of it) back when they did series 1. Series 2 coming along 3 years later makes his appearance as un-aged to be typically creepy.
