My sincere hope is it doesn't go all Lost on us. A story needs a beginning, a middle & an end & something like this has the opportunity to shoot off in all sorts of flowery metaphysical directions.

It's been so good the first two episodes that it would be a shame if it were to disappear up it's own fundament in a flourish of quasi religious balderdash.
I don't think that is likely. This is French after all, not American.

I think, if anything, it will have a totally miserable ending where we are all made to feel the pain of human suffering.

American's always want redemption, some growing and learning to be happening. The French will just pile on the misery with an insouciant shrug of the shoulders.
Yes this cannot end well!
These is something very dark bubbling away underneath the surface.
There was something the priest said about the soul being everlasting but that the ressurection of a body would be less desirable.

Thinking positively perhaps the twist is these returnees are angels sent back to prepare for the rapture or similar or to guide the others, hence why they are returning in a short space of time, to coincide with the imminent second coming or the apocalypse. They just don't realise it. Think Kara Thrace in BSG.
Naaaah!

Oh and that was Madame Costa the returnee who was tied up in the house fire by her husband (before he jumped off the dam, more to come from him maybe) sitting in the diner who saw Simon beat the barman.
Just caught up on this from last night. Yes I'm sure it was Mrs Costa, but in the CCTV as Simon walked out the table was empty (at least I'm pretty sure it was the table she was sitting at). Mrs Costa is a ghost now that she came back and died again?

Good series so far smile

Victor has claimed the title of creepiest kid since the boy who played Damien in the Omen.

The plot here twists and turns like a twisty turney thing, can't wait till next week.

If I'm seeing it right, Victor has visions or some such power that does his will to others??

Was it a hallucination created by Victor to exorcise her demons?

And why don't I ever meet young leatherclad ladies dressed in Catwomen costumes late at night, in a non-stabby manner of course.

Great acting. Didn't realise it was the same woman at first. Just thought that she looked familiar.

Is anyone ever going to name their son Victor again?

Another hour that flashed past. One anomaly, though: did we ever hear that the stabbing victim had died? I thought she was found alive last week, but last night all the talk was of a murder inquiry?

So when the lake empties, we are going to see the dead school kids, or something. I recon.
The lake also seems to be emptying into the plumbing (the blocked loo) - very weird.

The intro to every episode is a shot underwater of dead animals. So there is something in there.

This is an intriguing show...so much so that I'm not noticing that it's actually subtitled.
