It's the whole 'oh, the audience will accept it' thing that I find lazy.
Ray's brother killed an inmate and was set free hours later. That's far fetched by TV standards let alone real life.
Then there's the business minded hookers that know the street value of charlie, his daughter that is failing her exams one minute and probably next week in bed with the teacher!
All this and I haven't mentioned Micky or his son yet.
I will be surprised if I make the entire season at this rate.

Another thing I don't get about Micky - he comes out of prison after decades on the other side of the country but despite this he knows all the loan sharks and cocaine wholesalers in Los Angeles.
The only role his son has is saying "No Micky, we can't do this! Alright, we can do it." (Regarding every one of Micky's 'get rich quick' ideas)
I thought he was supposed to be some hard nut boxer/bouncer/intimidator but he's just a chauffeur who never seems to do much driving

I don't think this series is any more far fetched than the last. Gets and FBI agent to lie about who killed someone, comes up against the future head of the FBI who just happens to be a) bent as fk and b) a wife swapping deviant. Kid gets involved with some rappers, they all get shot and life carries on. Its a fking TV show, not meant to be reality.
Anyway, what the fk is up with Katie Holmes and those braces? I assume she had them put on in real life and so they had to put something in the story about migraines. You would have though she could have afforded the invisible ones.
I assume the main arc of this season is that priest investigator bloke and him getting close to finding out Ray killed the priest. Just hope they spend a bit of time with Ray fixing things before that story takes over.

The role as a 'fixer' is what made this show interesting for me...and it's barely in the script anymore. I enjoyed the few jobs he did for Lovejoy.I probably watched about 15 minutes in total of the last episode after skimming through all of the tedious 'wife in Boston', 'kids in trouble at school', 'Mexican wrestler dominatrix' and 'Mick's stupidity' storylines they seem to have decided should get so much focus. A damn shame because whenever Ray is on screen it's still fantastic TV.

I think that's the problem with this series. All the related stories have fragmented into their own space and when you only have a 45 minute show too much time is taken up with the other bits.In early series the stories intertwined a lot more and Ray was involved a lot more.

They really need to up the dynamic with Ray, I'm glad they seem to have brought Lena back in (they need to get Avi back as well) and focus the show on fixing the messes of the idiotic rich and famous. The Finney storyline is the only saving grace of the show at the moment.
Edit: and KH's nipples.

Why was, Lovejoy angry with, Ray?
He worked out that Ray had done a deal with Paige behind his back to get 3% of the deal. In last weeks episode he warned Ray that he works for him (and not Paige).Shall we start a count down now for how long before the priest investigator bloke is offed by Ray

Ah right, for some reason I though the Governor losing was caught up in that! Shall we start a count down now for how long before the priest investigator bloke is offed by Ray
Good One last night!
Really, really liked the disjointed story concept
when I saw that women being bitten by the snake and suddenly Ray's digging a grave by jaw hit the floor, then it switches around to look like it might be the priest in the bag, only to switch again. Brilliant stuff.
