Agree too, more of his business life and less of the home life would suit me more. Not sure it rates with the Sopranos at the moment.
Nowhere near in that category for me right at the moment.

I have the third episode on plus...yet haven't watched it yet....

Up to date on this.

Wife likes it too, which is a bonus.

Not seen Sopranos so can't comment, but certainly enjoying this so far, some great characters.

I have been enjoying this too. Never really noticed Liev much in anything but he is very good in this. The other characters are good also.

I agree with what people say about the business side versus the home side. I find a lot of programmes are like this. Sopranos as has been mentioned and also I have recently started Mad Men having not seen it before. The stuff at the office is much funnier and more interesting than his home life but that gets focused on a lot.

I have to say I would like to sample the 'monkey' episode.

Is it me or have the production company got a deal going with Merc. I mean do we really need to see him driving his Merc all time or could we just assume he used his car to get from one place to another.

I thought it started a little slow but that last 2 episodes have really been quite good.

No doubt the Merc's have been provided as product placement, in last weeks episode he pulled up and there was a long, lingering shot of the badge. Doesn't really bother me. Same thing with an Audi being in nearly every film a few years back.

I thought this week's episode was a bit lack lustre.

Am liking the James Woods character though.

Loving it now, although still don't give much of a st about the love lives of his kids or his wife's shoplifting with an incontinent old boiler but at least these things are slowly tying together.

They've started filming series 2 too, which is great, I've been burnt before by US shows that they kill off just as I'm getting into them like 'Smith'.

Last two eps have been really good I think. Glad Series 2 is funded.

I'm guessing back to the 'hood to show / explain to him what happened to his 'Moms' etc - I don't think he'll kill him or anything.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Taking him back to the house, showing him where he came from and if he wants to change, wouldn't be surprised to see a relationship build between Ray and Marv.
