right off!I think it had one more season left in it to tie up everything to the NYC threads to the Boston/Sullivan threads.
I would have thought it was successful enough to deserve a concluding season.

Hopefully something happens and they do it properly. Almost think they're at it, announcing cancellations to provoke reactions."Liev took the news very hard, he is a serious actor and takes this role seriously, not to be able to finish this character was hurting him, it was torturing him."
I visualise him reacting in character and walking away with a bottle of Johnnie Walker.
Just watched the last episode of season 7. I think it’s as good weight now as it’s ever been and I like it a lot.
It’s always had a bit of a strange duel personality, largely a gritty drama but with Jon Voight shuffling around doing a gangster Frank Spencer impersonation but it helps to lighten the mood now and then.
It did dip in season 5 or 6 but it’s back on form and I’m looking forward to the next and presumably final season which looks like it’s moving back to LA.

I thought it had been cancelled. I hope you’re right though. It’s always had a bit of a strange duel personality, largely a gritty drama but with Jon Voight shuffling around doing a gangster Frank Spencer impersonation but it helps to lighten the mood now and then.

Ray's coming back!
Rather than a final series, it's going to be a Feature Length Episode, or 'TV Movie' as I think they used to call it.
Anyway, there's going to be a proper ending. Ray, Micky and whiney Daughter confirmed.
