Ray's coming back!

Rather than a final series, it's going to be a Feature Length Episode, or 'TV Movie' as I think they used to call it.

Anyway, there's going to be a proper ending. Ray, Micky and whiney Daughter confirmed.

That's great news, I was annoyed they left it where they did.

I’m upset it isn’t another season.
Definitely had one last season in it.

I love this program-the Donovan’s make my family seem almost normal.

Oh for the early seasons of Ray and his shenanigans with troublesome stars

Micky was a ridiculous PITA storyline as was his brat of a kid, last series was fairly good despite

Perhaps there will be a feature length tie up way beyond the appropriate time like Deadwood

Yes, that's exactly what's happening. It's due later this year.

Deadwood was a great series, it really can hold it's head up with those other HBO giants of TV, but I couldn't get into the film, 13 years after the series last aired, I couldn't bring myself to go back and watch it again to remember all the plot points.

For some reason I have low expectations of a film

Maybe because it will need to accommodate people who never watched the series

Tempted to go back and watch series 1, a simpler time of being a fixer to the stars

Agree with this regarding the film. I rarely watch film spin offs of series I’ve enjoyed. Made the mistake of watching El Camino after Breaking Bad.

I’ll still watch it though when it’s released. heherolleyes

I enjoyed watching this even if it was a bit slow at times. I might binge watch it from the start as I've forgotten a lot from the storylines though.

PS - Liev looks like a distant relative of Valtteri Bottas.

Absolutely loved this show and stuck with it through the poor series (6 I think?).
Looking forward to the film but like others a little concerned that it will try and be all encompassing of past and present timelines.
Will definitely wear my sharpest suit to watch.

The Deadwood film was brilliant, and fitting. HBO have a good formula with that, shame Gandolfini passed away before the Sopranos one got anywhere.

I can’t say that I agree. It was ok but the series was far superior. I’d rather they had found the money to make the fourth season as originally planned to tie the story up.

Watched it at the weekend, lots of clunky retrospective scenes, felt like a 45 min episode stetched to a 100 min movie

New to this, we are on season 4, really enjoying it so far.
Jeez they dragged out the thing with Abby but the episode where she says goodbye was brutal, beautiful and powerful, played brilliantly by the main characters. Wow.
