I don't really mind Affleck as Batman, I'm willing to see how it goes anyway. I'm watching Red, and as another suggestion for Batman that's not going to happen now... Karl Urban.
Same. I read an interview with Ben Affleck talking about being the new Batman. He read the script before deciding whether to accept the role and feels pretty confident he can do it justice.Apparently the script is very good and they are focusing on an older Batman (a la The Dark Knight Returns, although he isn't 60 odd). I can't see it being that awful to be honest, Nolan is involved and I doubt he'd keep quiet if they picked the wrong guy.
Affleck did mention that they weren't going to try and carry on from the Nolan trilogy, but rather use some bits and expand on that.
I'm sure affleck can get the size on, but he shapes up differently. Big shoulders but thin neck. And he has a chin like a fat bird's arse.

Indeed. Jermey Irons as Alfred I can live with but Jessie Eisenberg!? Really? That's it, i'm out. Last one out turn the fking light off.
I was just ready to give Affleck a chance but this might be a step too far.
High water mark.

DC are trying to jump on the same band wagon a bit late in the game and it all feels a little hodge-podged and rushed. It's going to have to be really good to stand apart from Nolan's films.
Anyone think it's true that Bale turned down really silly money to don the cap again?
