I've been banging my head against this one since bale resigned. No one seems good enough.
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=106748"Warner Bros. has just revealed plans for their own DC Cinematic Universe with the announcement of a Man of Steel sequel that will feature none other than Batman! Snyder took the stage at the Warner Bros. panel to announce something and brought up actor Harry Lennix to read a special message.
"I want you to remember, Clark," Lennix said, "in all the years to come. In all your private moments. I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember, the one man who beat you."
And with that famous speech from The Dark Knight Returns, Snyder unveiled the logo below."
The Graphic Novel was ace, translating it to film? They'll half Batman's age no doubt, which will detract from the story. Will he wear lycra, or armour? Perhaps it'll have nowt to do with TDKR.
I'm sure there are plenty of actors out there that can fit the bill. Just no big movie names.
are people not sick of all these super hero movies, giant fighting robot movies etc
it seems hollywood is still in the game of: find one franchise then milk it into the ground.
i understand theres a big fan base from the comics, i never read them so i dont know, but i can barely tell one film from another nowadays, especially now with the big super hero compilation films.

I have a bad feeling about this.
So do I.I hate to say it but unless they can get Bale back in the suit, there's just no point.

If they are going to be basing this on The Dark Knight Returns it needs to be someone much older than Bale.
Yes, if its true to Returns, Bruce Wayne is in his 50's and has come back from 'retirement' to be Batman again. So older, but not The Expendables older To get a list going of possibles/wouldn't it be cool if...
Bryan Cranston
Liam Neeson
Viggo Mortensen
Woody Harrelson

Batman casting has me concerned as well tho. I dont think theyll go dkr age for batman, i think theyll go 35-45 max.

My concern is more snyder riding nolans success. Dark knight was good because of nolan and i suspect his input and audience expectation added up to a lot of the numbers MOS did. Snyder worries me as a director, he has very little real depth. To fk up an open goal like watchmen takes some doing.
Watchmen an open goal? The comic book that everyone said was unfilmable? If that is an open goal I'd hate to see what something tricky is!Dare2Fail said:
