I liked that bit, especially as, ironically, they WERE doing their job.
Her 'job' is to pay her rent on time, which she didn't do. This resulted in her getting kicked out. The biggest surprise is that social services put them in a B&B rather than having a'polite' word of 'sort this out as our duty is towards your child's safety'.
