Are people actually interested if other people are interested?

Big Brother is pulling in 15%-20% of the total tv viewing audience when on. So yes, clearly people are watching although many don't like to say they are.

I would like to think that I am a pretty bright, educated chap who 'gets by' quite well. I actually find this quite good entertainment!

I do genuinely think that if you try and remember the original concept and how we are simply 'looking in' at the behaviour that quickly gets magnified you look at it in a different light.

The Celeb one is fascinating due to the 'games' and personas that try to control events, people and the 'public'. It is still in effect quite a crude experiment and there genuinely seems to be a lot to pick up and observe - if not learn from!

And it is proper full on car crash TV at times.....

On the whole actually you may be right; utter tosh - but I find it quite interesting and almost compelling to see the people change and 'develop' if anything backwards rather than in any way positively! smile

It is also in effect a grown up school playground during a very long break. Gangs, characters, manipulation and typical spats/allegiances!

The 'normal' one though is unbearable to watch (IMHO) due to the sole purpose being to play up constantly to the cameras and be utterly false in the hope of being 'discovered' and becoming the next 'Rylan' - God Help Us all beer

For some reason there is always a sort who wish to question at the interests of others. biggrin

It is Saturday night after all.

I've never quite understood why people get concerned what other people do when it comes to simple things like watching TV.

Loads of people think watching BB is beneath them. Quite often the thread would be carrying on nicely with no issues at all. Then someone who thinks BB is lowbrow TV joins thread and feels the need to throw lowbrow insults and snide remarks about. It's quite ironic methinks.

The TV is full absolutely rubbish programmes. Nothing seems to stir quite as much negative reactions as BB and Top Gear. It's usually the same people who keep feeling the need to say something as well. Yet they watch more than enough rubbish themselves.

Surprised people didn't complain that Calum was homophobic due to his reaction.

I know you're probably joking, but I reckon BB has been pretty sound on all the admonishments so far.
I'm thinking of some of the 'anti-PC' twaddle that is talked about this show, with knobhead Reg walking, and the Alex O'Neill arguments as well.
Perez was called on his 'rape' threat, which is what it was. Perez....just a conundrum, he never backs down, even when he is wrong. He is genuinely a knobhead.

edit.
Glad Cheggars is not washing up....starting to get fed up with Katie H as well...rude woman...getting fed up of the st-stirrer act too, but not able to take on strong ones head-to-head.

Calum was one of my favorites in the house but i think that confrontation may have placed him as now favorite to win. For someone who has been so chilled up to now to snap like that has given him another dimension, if that makes sense.

I thought he was bit of a knob before going into the house from all the press he's had over the years but he's a decent guy.

I've not got the grips with smiley faces on here. I just added it to the top of my post. It was made in jest.

He did react very badly to it though when normally he has kept under control. It did seem to really trigger a nerve.

Perez can't behave like that in real life, nobody could tolerate him. I also read he's worth $30M. Maybe starting a blog and being an ahole really does pay well.

Wow.......Hopkins is a nasty nasty woman. No redeeming features. I can't see why people on here like her, vile. Perez is a total tool too. Cami Lee is vulger also.

It's because she reminds the rabid right of Thatcher. Somebody actually sad as much, "would make a great PM" or somesuch.

Jesus....
that was fking depressing.

I hope the Maggie Thatcher wannabe leaves off a bit now, the house could be just as entertaining with less toxicity....moreso in fact.
I was thinking, Cam Li was a heartless harpy...but the empathic look she was giving Perez made me rethink.

Agree Katie H, needs to back right off Perez.
Perez is breaking ( and deserves to suffer ) so no need to add to it.
No doubt hes feeling excluded from the group, and as such all the time he remains in there will be hard for him.

Not long until the end now. Hope Calum and Michelle get to the final

Nadia on Loose women (argggghhhh) claiming she didnt see much of the key Perez incidents.
And has she would have told him of for them had she seen.
She stands by her actions, and wasnt about to apologise. Claims she had a great time in there with Perez.

Shes a typical Loose women. cant stand her. I would have more respect if she publicly condoned Perzs actions.
Rather than typical Nadia and turning it on Katie H.
I was a fan of Katie H, less so since she cant tun her attacks on Perez off. But i dont see that everything is her fault. Perez gives her the ammunition. So he has to take some responsibility. And as such Nadia needs to man the f*ck up and accept she shouldnt have protected him as much as she did.
Obviously believed Perez, over the multiple others telling her his actions were not acceptable.
