I wonder how effectively they can block proxies anyway. I use UnblockUS and i imagine they'll be working hard to get around it.
Bit more detail at The Register, apparently the answer is: "Evolving Proxy Detection as a Global Service”.Challo said:

Tends to be alot more content. We use unblockUS and just select various countries and take a look whats on. jshell said:
Try Norwegian Netflix. Woeful compared to the UK version, even. Netflix spotted I'd done a DNS bypass and shut me down so I am stuck for the moment with local Netflix!
Their top man recently said they are cracking down on that kind of thing so I think it'll get more common.eybic said:

Their top man recently said they are cracking down on that kind of thing so I think it'll get more common.I use UnBlock-US for VPN services to allow me to watch all regions Netflix. Last night I got the "We've detected you're using a proxy" (Or something to that effect) message when trying to watch something from the US Netflix.
I followed some instructions from a site (Cant remember which) which essentially had me sign out of Netflix on all devices, change my DNS back to normal, restart device, watch some of my region content then go back through the UnBlock-US setup and it worked fine afterwards.
I will happily cancel my Netflix sub if they crack down harder on VPN use. Their content is easily available through "other free means" but I do like being kinda above board by subscribing for content.

The whole VPN thing makes the monkey in my brain start bashing his cymbals together, friends have advised me to tinker but I just can't be bothered.
Having said that, when I watch Netflix at work we get the French/Belgian service because of servers or something, there's not a great deal of difference.

This Pablo Escobar Del Patron Del Mal show is taking over my Life! It's hilariously cheesey at times, but I absolutely love it.
Indeed, it's almost Fast-Show-esque in it's cheesiness, especially the dramatic music they use and use and use.I'm sure you know the one. It's kind of like a pre-programmed 'quick beat' from an 80s Casio keyboard

There is an episode where they play the song from the intro music in it's entireity! I was wanting the keyboard drama music instead!I'm sure you know the one. It's kind of like a pre-programmed 'quick beat' from an 80s Casio keyboard
