Watched a film called Twisted yesterday - not bad. Worth a watch if you're bored and there's nothing else on.

5.5/10

Anyone watching "Power". Pretty gripping stuff that i put on as a throwaway for something to watch.

Turned out to be very addictive. Worth catching up.

Any Gotham fans on here? The show follows James Gordon in the early days of Gotham dealing with various mobsters and a couple of villains from the batman universe, before the appearance of batman.

We really enjoyed Gotham as something to keep us both entertained. It was great seeing the characters develop and easy to follow (important if watching with woman).

We've just started 'community' as my wife wanted something funny but I can't decide if I like it or not. Maybe it's because I don't know any of the actors and everything is better if it has recognisable faces. Except 'that's my son', it was utter trash no matter who the actors were.

BSG is being dropped on 20th June.
That's a real shame, probably watched it through 2 or 3 times on Netflix after watching it originally when it was released. My all time fave TV series.
I only started watching it when I saw it was being dropped after it had sat in my watch list for about 3 months, I managed to get to S4E3 by the 20th, ended up downloading all 4 series plus the miniseries on iTunes as I wanted to know what happened!

Definitely one I'll watch again though, really enjoyed it

Another series I really enjoyed was Falling Skies, just waiting on the final season coming on Netflix.

Also watched Jericho, oddly compelling if a little daft in places, the ending spoiled it completely however as it rushed through what would have been 4-5 episodes in 2 due to the show being cut

Series 7 of the superb Archer (adult cartoon, very clever, very funny) has been released. Trying not to consume it too quickly, but can't resist...

Tonight I watched 'Look Who's Back' based on an earlier recommendation in this thread. It was absolutely brilliant. Really funny and very clever, it would make a great film to study at A-level/University.

It's based on Hitler coming back to modern day Germany, however the only drawback is subtitles.

I've just finished the first Season of Spotless. Didn't think i'd enjoy it but it is very well done indeed. Very dark in places. Really got into the characters, so much so i found myself getting annoyed at the daughters life choices!

Can't wait for season 2.

Also watched Only the Dead. Horrific. Truly horrific. Without spoiling it the focus of the final scenes was traumatising.

Finished Power as well. I started watching Bloodline but couldn't get into it. Maybe i'll give it another go.

Only the Dead. Astonishing documentary by a journalist that spent 2003 - 2009 in Iraq.

NOT for the squeamish. (beheadings etc).

A gut wrenching 9/10
Netflix has some cracking documentaries and this is no exception, not quite up there with Virunga and Winter on Fire but this is still a must watch, some of the combat scenes are the most intense i have seen. 8/10

Well I've just got into Netflix, a neat reciprocal agreement with some mates who I give a spare Sky Go log in to and they give me a spare Netflix login.

Currently re-watching The Office which is on there at the moment, whilst the wife watches her nonsense on the other telly. Its aged pretty well IMO, I haven't watched it in years and I forgot how funny it is. Hopefully at some point they will put the US series on again, so I can re-watch that.

As we are now very much a "boxset" couple we are looking forward to doing seasons 3 and 4 of Orange is the New Black which we've yet to see, and then Better Call Saul, and Making a Murderer.

Detectorists passed me by when it was on TV and I noticed series 1 on Netflix recently - a very nice little 6 part comedy with a relaxing pace written by, directed by and staring Mackenzie Crook.

It's "plodding" but all the better for it IMO.

A little bit of help please smile

I'm looking for a series, from last year I think? It's set in the current day, but, it's made as if we lost WW2!

Is it on Netflix? And, was it any good?

Thanks in advance.
