On the topic of documentaries, watched Let The Fire Burn on Netflix US yesterday. Just posted this in the Good films I watched this weekend thread, but pasted it here too....

Let The Fire Burn - more of a documentary really than a film, but found it on US Netflix and was hooked. It's about an organisation (not really a cult, but not far off) called MOVE in Philadelphia in the 70's / 80's that took a stand against modern living, and the police / authorities took a major dislike to them resulting in them trying to flush them out of a town house in 1985 with the ridiculous idea of using an explosive dropped on the roof by a helicopter to do so, resulting in them burning down 61 houses and killing 11 people. Film is put together using old grainy footage from the time and is really quite shocking just how corrupt (and stupid) the authorities were. Well worth a watch.

I started on season 1 this week when I ran out of Lillehammers, it's pretty good - I'm not sure why but I was reluctant to give it a go but I'm glad I did.

The Following season 1 is on netflix USA at the moment I've just finished it. I quite enjoyed it but it's not to be taken too seriously it's a wee bit out there at times but well worth the watch. First episode is fantastic. Closest thing to Dexter I've watched.

Netflix UK August update http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv...

Orphan Black series 1 - I watched S1 and S2 on BBC Three and I like it a lot
Bojack Horseman - coming on 23rd, heard good things. Will Arnett and Aaron Paul voiced cartoon about a whisky drinking horse and his human friend hehe.

I have started watching Trailer Park Boys after seeing both your posts. Half way through the first ep I wondered "What the hell" but now, I can't stopp watching the thing. It is fantastic.

I liked season 1 but struggling to get interested in season 2, watched the first two and not been back since. Is it worth sticking with it?

They've recently added all series of The Shield (or I've recently found them, may have been there ages), been interested in that ever since I watched the Wire as it's of a similar ilk. Liking it so far, only on season 2 so plenty of viewing left!
