On UK netflix? I couldn't find it?
Same here - it popped up on "Upflix" to say it had been added but then when I tried to add it to my list I couldn't - presumably Upflix are teasing with other region content again.

Agreed. Watch it and
A) Be astounded that people still believe in/the hypocrisy of religion and how people let it influence their professional lives,
B) How/why Princess Diana died and the culture surrounding it,
C) Just how hideous the DM and its reporters are and how ignorant people who get their opinions from the DM must be
D) The misogyny driving the the whole circus - fat white male 40/50 something camera crews, paparazzi and reporters ogling over an attractive 20 something female. Quite unbelievable given that the trial was only 6 years ago remember... Thankfully it now looks like something out of the dark ages.

Can you actually believe that the police purposefully went into her cell, faked blood tests and then told her that she had AIDS in an attempt to destabilise her?! Then convicted her?!

I'm capable of realising that it was a one sided documentary (obvious lack of make up and frumpy clothes in an attempt to counter the image of her portrayed by the media for example), but as a snapshot on the attitudes of the media of the not too distant past, it is very interesting/scary. As I say it's like the dark ages; akin to watching a documentary on 1970's attitude to policing and ethnic minorities.
Watched this last night, an interesting watch. I have to say that I'm still undecided re her guilt...

Nearly every film before I watch I check out the ratings and comments over on IMDB. I am sure I am not alone in this. I am therefore glad that I ignored both Netflix's abysmal ONE star rating and IMDB's equally ludicrous 5.3 score.

February is simply superb. A true slow-burn horror film that is cold, bleak and puzzling for the most part and the answer only very slowly revealed. Beautifully shot, original script, great acting and a score to die for!

The star rating on Netflix is nothing to do with the quality of the film, it is generated per a user based on other film titles you have watched and rated in the past. A 5 star on your netflix may be a 1 star on mine.

My wife likes a series called Between, about all people over the age of 22 dying. I hate it, bad acting and even worse script.

I watched the first episode of a series called Spotless yesterday, and I enjoyed that, so that is now on my watch list.

I watched a trailer this morning for an exclusive mockumentary starting next week called Mascots, it looks quite amusing.

I think the premise is a load of different mascots compete in the World Mascot Championship.

That's interesting, I had no idea it worked like that. I've never rated a single thing that I've watched on Netflix though so how does it account for that?

Started Luke Cage and watched around 6 episodes in a few days.

It's good but nothing on Jessica Jones or Daredevil. The fight scene when he rolls in with car door was laughable. People falling over each other and arms flailing. I was hoping to see him run at a few of them and knock through a few walls. Good story though, enjoying it.
The story is pretty good, in fact if you take out the rather minimal "Super-Hero" guff out of it, you still have a really good little Harlem drama...

It's probably got a way of knowing which content you have started, started and completed, and if they are similar in genre, style, actors, director etc as others you've watched/part watched as well as the ratings you give.

There's some info here:
http://bgr.com/2016/02/10/netflix-ratings-what-the...

I don't know why Netflix don't make it more obvious that the star system is not an average rating of all users but a "you may like this based on your past viewing history" rating.

Not quite, it's a hybrid between the two.

Netflix buckets you into a profile group based on what you watch and rate (if you do). The rating you then see for each film is the rating others in your profile group have given it.

Well, following on from my post a little while ago, I'm almost through series 2 of Gomorrah. If any of you haven't watched it, it's well worth it!

I'm in trouble over this. The wife scored major pundit points on Wednesday with her coice of Gone Girl, which was excellent.

My turn last night, and I leant on this review and went for February. Oh dear. I thought it was ok. She hated it.

Her choice tonight and I'm going to be punished with something about emotions. Pants.

I did warn you it was a slow-burn! If she is a Bridget Jones aficionado, this movie isn't for her! wink

I accept your apology, let's put this behind us.

A bit more 'The Get Down' should be a reasonable compromise for tonight.
