Just started Medici: Masters of Florence.

Liking it so far (2 episodes in).
I watched 6 episodes. For me, it was like a cut-price Borgias.

A bit late to the party I know but I am 3 episodes in Narcos.

I feel in danger of giving up. It's a bit, um, dull at the moment. Should I stick with it?
Im sad to say I gave up about half way through the first season. Didnt hook me at all despite everyone else going mental about it.
For me it was high quality, solid, informative entertainment...the same from beginning to end, no real lows or high points. It's not high energy 'must-see' TV IMO.
If you think it's dull now, it won't get any more exciting.
I disagree. The first episode I enjoyed, the next few I was less fussed about and nearly sacked it off - I only started again because I was out of inspiration. Thoroughly enjoyed the second half of the first series though, and rattled through that into season 2.

I shall plough on for the moment. Don't get me wrong, its very interesting, just dull. Perhaps its just because I was expecting something slightly different, and that's more a criticism of me than the programme.

Im just watchin Narcos atm, whilst I enjoy it, it just revolves around 3 people, feels like they spent all the money on the sets and filming, so the story is stuck with 3 people!

I miss the Sopranos and all the narrative duck and diving and huge range of characters

Dare I say im getting a bit bored of Narcos, on about the 5ths episode I think and fell asleep

Anyone been watching Shooter?
Very American-hero in a Jack Reacher type way but as long as you can leave your cynicism behind it is totally compulsive and utterly brilliant.
One of those little gems that you cannot stop watching the next one of until it's 2am and you're up for work in 4 hours. But maybe just one more.

Well that only works if you weren't there from the start...
If you're new to it, then binge away
If you noticed it when it started you'd have had to put up with weekly episode releases which feels really odd after getting used to binge-viewing.
I'm still enjoying Shooter though...."man-tele"

Unfortunately it is half and half for me. I have caught up with you and am on weekly doses now. Absolutely torturous.
We are so used to on-demand tv now that weekly episodes are like some relic of a pre-historic age!

Chaps I need some recommendations. I've signed up a fortnight ago and watched Making a Murderer (he's guilty as sin btw) but struggling to find any other decent documentaries to watch.

Is it still worth watching if you've seen the film?

Definitely. Although it is theoretically a follow-on it works completely independently. I didn't even realise it was related to the film
