I started watching this based on reviews but didn't even finish the first episode, it was so farcical. Perhaps I was a bit quick to give up?
Braquo, Shooter, Homeland, all better IMO.
But if you've got the time/bored...then it's not especially bad or worthless... it's a by-the-numbers twisty yet entirely predictable thriller..

Just started Braquo and there's so many other good series around I think I might give it a miss. It's not often though I see great reviews on Netflix and think then get disappointed like that,

Just finished the OA, wtf was that all about.

The two part 2013 version of The Great Train Robbery is up. First part from the crims, second from plod. Well worth a look if you haven't seen.
Apart from the snow covered mountain in the background of the bridge where the robbery happened - I grew up about a mile from Bridego Bridge and there's no mountains around there...Was still good though :-)

Final episode of Frequency was out on Thursday - I really enjoyed this series, bit of a 'Butterfly Effect' premise to it and well worth watching

For something completely different, I've found Happy Tree Friends on there. A cartoon series about cute animals that keep dying in gory and elaborate ways, think Itchy & Scratchy hehe . (I have DVDs of it, there's 1 series on Netflix)
That's one of my kids favourites. wink

...also, not sure there were two tone police car sirens in London in 1963. (I was there and it was all bells and whistles IIRC)

Just started this. It is indeed brilliant.

It reminds me of another French police/anti terrorist series set in Marseille I watched recently but can't remember its name. It's bugging me now. It has an French North African police officer in it whose brother is a criminal. hehe

"Captive"

Original Netflix series covering hostage/kidnap stories.

Starts off with a mega prison riot in the US which I hadn't heard about, interviews with ringleaders of the riots and surviving prison officers.

I have just finished this. Not sure what to think, certainly a bit.....oddball. Started off slow, got going, and then nothing really happened, with a lot of unanswered questions.

Yes, my thought too but yet it I still enjoyed it for some reason,

About half way through my wife asked what the series was about and I had to admit, wasn't really sure.

What did she do to the dog that attacked her? I was hoping for some more magic powers really. hehe

Started watching Lemony Snicket on Sunday and now 6 episodes in, as others have said, bit slow to get going but it does get there. I think that most people watching it will know the story and what's going to happen so its difficult to hook them from the start.
We've been watching this a few evenings a week over the last few weeks, we thought it was wonderful (2 Adults and an 11 year old).

Haven't seen the film and knew nothing of the books which perhaps helped so we were suckered right in for the ending.

She just didnt struggle and that threw the dog off his game or made him calm down... maybe.

I really liked it because it made you / me think. The story can be interpreted lots of ways - which is good. I dont want to say what I believe the main story was for fear of spoiling this for others. I went into it knowing nothing and it was great.

Once you've finished it, watch the film, brilliant cast and just a little different from the series. Oh, and as much as I like NPH, Jim Carey makes a much better Count Olaf!

Anyone watched? Jason Mamoa doing what he does best. With axes.

Not seen any yet, just saw from his IG. Will have a watch later maybe.

Do they clone Violets though? Almost thought it was the same girl!
