My name is rod and I like to party.

In other news, parks and recreation is great, could imagine most pH members being just like Ron Swanson..

It's very good. The style seems a bit like Napoleon Dynamite to me.

I like the oriental chap who wants to dance all of the time. Also, some the stunt crashes are really funny.

It gets a bit weird. I enjoyed it though. Series 2 coming soon I think.

Spooky, I was just about to post that! The first episode set the tone for me with two Nazi soldiers questioning if they were the bad guys biggrin

At the weekend me and the wife watched 'Generation War' again. Absolutely recommend this for everyone - a very thought provoking mini-series (3x 1.5hr episodes), taking 5 friends as WWII breaks out who think the war will be over by Xmas and arrange to meet up. It follows their experiences through the war and how their lives intertwine. It's in German (with subtitles) and really interesting to see something like this from the German perspective.

Dallas Buyers Club is now up, just watched it, a very good film indeed. Matthew McConaughey is one hell of an actor.

Also, I've been working through I'm Alan Partridge again, simply incredible comedy.

I'm watching Prison Break at the moment after nearly a decade of trying to get it watched. It's very good, though Generation War is the best thing I've watched in there in a while.

No no no no no. You need to push through the 'this isn't the best thing I've ever seen' because after a while the opposite opinion will form. From about mid way season 2 until the very end is just unbelievable.

Bomb Patrol Afghanistan. It's a series following US navy bomb disposal teams over there.

It's American so it's a bit different to the British military documentaries I've seen. However, it's worth a watch for all of the explosions.

3 documentaries for me this week

McCullin- looks at a famous war photographer's career, absolutely harrowing stuff which is not an easy watch but a must see for anyone who is interested on war

McConkey- about a promising skier who is a complete adrenaline junky and becomes interested in BASE jumping and combines the 2, some genuine heart in the mouth moments

5 broken cameras- I was genuinely shocked how awful the Israeli army and government could be with regards to the illegal Israel settllements, this is purely footage a Palestinian farmer films from his village as the settlements get built closer and closer. A must watch

At this rate I can see me cancelling Sky...

They sound good, on the list for next week...that's why I started this thread, I'd have probably just skipped over them as the synopsis on Netflix doesn't really sell some of the stuff that's on there.

At the complete opposite end of the spectrum, just been watching Elf with the kids on Canada region smile love that film.

YOU BLEW UP R2D2!

Funny but cringey a times was on ch5 a few months back but was on odd times like 11, but given the content of some episodes it wouldn't be on earlier.
