Anyone who enjoyed House of Cards might want to try The Boss. It stars Kelsey Grammer and Connie Nielson, and is on US (or was it UK?) Netflix.
Good recommendation. I think I preferred Boss to House of Cards.

I've enjoyed trailer park boys. hilarious but boy can you see the age effect in later seasons. underbelly is good too. I have watched season 1 and then jumped straight over to underbelly badness which is alright although not sure if later underbelly's are on Netflix.badness is on amazon.

Can't be bothered to check back all through this thread but just finished House of Cards.

Absolutely brilliant. Different from the UK version ( which is also superb) but if you enjoy political dramas then this is a must!

can't wait for Feburary when series 3 starts.
I mentioned it last week.

But you are right. Absolutely fantastic series.
Still working my way through series 2, it really is fantastic!

With the recent events I had a watch of this the other day, I think I've watched before but it's certainly eye opening both on the conditions and life of people in NK and on the effects of being locked up in a small corner of the world:

Michael Shannon - plays a cracking part, loved his bit in Broadwalk Empire too.

Changed the DNS code on our ATV2 and got access to the U.S Netflix.

Malcolm in the middle, worth it for Bryan Cranston alone

Orphan Black, it's a BBC America series that is rather good and features a quite extraordinary performance from the lead actress.

Ah spotted that earlier and was considering it, will have a look.

I just started watching Black Mirror which showed up in my feed as a suggestion, that is one twisted show. Thread about it on PH here.

Not an easy watch, and disturbing to think it's going on today.

Enjoyed a couple of movies this week - Frozen Ground with Nicholas Cage (gritty), and The Magic of Belle Isle with Morgan Freeman (sweet and gentle).

We live in Austria and have had Netflix for a few months now. The content is OK at best.

I have decided to give Sons of Anarchy another shot and I am really enjoying it this time. It's a tough watch at times, but it is really good imo.
