Tons of new anime been added over christmas.

If you can get your head round it Psycho-Pass is well worth watching.
Attack on Titan - really good, weird and somewhat disturbing definitely not for kids.

Finished The Shield today, what a ride, absolutely incredible. A near-match for the heart-racing tension and drama of Breaking Bad, but more watchable due to the mini-storylines that play out in a single episode being woven into a fabric that builds and develops the characters in an overarching plot. Just amazing stuff. Before we started it, my wife had dismissed it as something she wouldn't like, but she was hooked by the end of the pilot, and I'm glad to say it finished 7 series in just as strongly as it started.

Good shout. I started watching this a few years ago and for some reason didn't get past season 3.

I've been watching it again from the start on Netflix and am on season 5 now. It really is an exceptional series. The tension at times is unbearable as you constantly wonder how Mackey and his strike team are going to get out of their latest fix...

The Shield was the best thing I've seen on TV. Each series got better until, as said, the tension was excruciating. Nothing really compares. But I found what happened at the end of the 5th series so gut-wrenching that I haven't been able to watch it through again. But once is enough. Great show.

Other than that, really enjoyed House of Cards and Lilyhammer.

I struggled to bet into The Shield as it didn't seem to be going anywhere but may have another go.

Watched Hiroshima at the weekend - very good

Anyone got through marco polo yet seems to have 5 stars on Netflix and rated crap elsewhere.

Watched - thoroughly enjoyed it. Good mix of politics/action/romance/drama.

Not sure when this happened as the first 2 series have been on for a while, but the 3rd series of Him & Her has been added.

Much like Breaking Bad, the butterfly flapping it's wings in episode one is a tornado blowing on a forest fire by the last couple of series. That was one of the best things about The Shield imo, every little thing that happens, does so for a reason, every character interaction, every event counts towards something.

I've started on Sons of Anarchy season 6 today, it's worth noting that most of the main cast of The Shield pop up in SOA in various roles - Kurt Sutter, the creator of SOA, was a producer on series 1 of The Shield, so it's little surprise that Jay Karnes, CCH Pounder, Michael Chiklis, Walton Goggins, David Rees Snell and Kenny Johnson got some screen time there. It has to be said, they are all stronger actors than the SOA main cast, perhaps bar Ron Perlman.

I may start Justified too. So much good tv.

I can recommend Justified its maybe not in the same class as Breaking Bad, The Wire etc for depth and intensity but has some great characters. Walton Goggins is very good

He's a bit different in Sons of Anarchy. Nice rack though.

The American version is not a patch on the Danish one.

I'm 3 episodes from the end of S1 at the moment. I've been told the conclusion is disappointing.
