I started this and struggled getting past 1 episode - is it worth perservering? Does it pick up?
Having a catch up on Netflix at the moment - just finished watching Daredevil - very good indeed.
Now working my way through Once upon a Time and really enjoying it. Tis nice and dark with two storylines running concurrently. Robert Carlyle plays a truly despicable character and then there's the evil queen, oh my....

Finished The Shield today, what a ride, absolutely incredible. A near-match for the heart-racing tension and drama of Breaking Bad, but more watchable due to the mini-storylines that play out in a single episode being woven into a fabric that builds and develops the characters in an overarching plot. Just amazing stuff. Before we started it, my wife had dismissed it as something she wouldn't like, but she was hooked by the end of the pilot, and I'm glad to say it finished 7 series in just as strongly as it started.
Just started watching The Sheild, enjoying it so far. thetapeworm said:
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is quite amusing in a light-hearted comedy cop show kind of way.
And just finished watching this in two days. Loved it. Paddy_N_Murphy said:

I've almost finished watching the Netflix exclusive 'Bloodline' (one more episode to go so, no spoilers please!) and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a bit of a slow burner but all the cast are superb.
It is very character based and revolves around a dysfunctional family living in the Florida Keys whose lives are turned upside down when their older Brother Danny (played to perfection by Ben Mendelsohn) returns to the area.
Well worth a watch.

Well worth a watch.
I found The Long Way Down on there last night, the documentary that follows Ewan and Charlie on their motorcycle journey through Africa, enjoyed it just as much as i did the first time and there really is some stunning camera work.

Whiplash is on Canada region now, a great film, and even though it's about a kid trying to make it as a drummer, you don't need to be into drumming to enjoy it (in fact I imagine if you were into drumming you might not enjoy it so much)
Great film.Orange Is The New Black season 3 starts tomorrow
Also got the email from Netflix, £6.99 subscription will be going up to £7.50 next year. Rising like the price of Freddo's
