In my case it's probably because I'm on Netflix Germany, Paddy.

I can hardly find any of the stuff that Netflix UK users post about. frown

But that Point & Shoot really is worth searching for. yes
Depending on your viewing method, there are paid and free methods to change your Netflix region to access different content smile

Kajaki; a film based on a true story from Afghanistan in 2006.

A British army patrol get stuck in an a long forgotten Soviet era minefield, with obvious results; grippy, gruesome, superbly acted, a must see.
Brilliant portrayal of a mission gone wrong, critical decision making where injury was inevitable, and above all else gallantry of the highest order. Proud to have served Utrinque Paratus.

Moves are being made to create a film from the book 3 days in June by James O' Connell, about 3 Para on Mount Longdon. Hope it gets the backing, it's a great read.

This is how I found it too but felt it might be bad form to criticise the film for fear of reprisals from the hero worshippers.
There you go. I said it. So shoot me!

I thought the opposite, for me it was very hard going, I found it very harrowing, probably the worst film I have seen for this for a long time. I had to look aware form the screen at a few points (But maybe I am a big wuss).

I also found it very real, humans are clumsy and react with human emotions, not like the Hollywood films. Yes it was a lowish budget, but it gave a glimpse into war, like Hurt locker did, where it isn't all guns and violence, it can be mistakes and poor management and support.

The military had no functional winches available at the time and the mine field was known about . They spend most of the first parts of the war riding about in bullet magnet landrovers with no protection but still did there job. I think tis film gave a glimpse of this reality in the 90 minutes.

Good film but I think their fieldcraft was ste. They cleared a route but not a working area but then it may not have been portrayed correctly in film.

The "mistakes" in the film for me added to the "ohmygosh what a panic" atmosphere going on around them as they tried to help and also ultimately put themselves at more risk.

I came to talk about a rather sombre film called 'into the wild' about the true story of the son of a nasa scientist who basically felt a bit hard done by about the 'expected life' went off on a trip around USA in the late 80's early 90's, then Alaska with feck all prep and the expected results.

But was totally blindsided by the gif-o-ramam above, and now MUST watch this

For me, this made the film seem hammy and unrealistic.

Not on Netflix, but Top Coppers on BBC2 looks quite similar. I thought it was from the same people but it has nothing to do with it.

If you haven't watched Better Call Saul because (like me) you thought Breaking Bad was the most over hyped show to have ever graced our TV screens, please give it a shot! I'm up to episode 6 now, it's brilliant!

They've just released season 6 of Archer. That just gets better and better. Also they've added Still Game season 1 - 3. Bizarre that they only had season 4 & 5 of Still Game!!

The One I Love

Really cool mind bending romantic film that meets the plot of Primer and Coherence. Recommend!

Started watching iZombie on US Netflix. Quite enjoying it so far.

Doctor becomes zombie, gets job in morgue, eats brains and uses flashes of the deceased's memory to solve their murder.
Sounds pretty rubbish, but put this on last night and quite enjoyed it. Am up to episode 4 now and so far so good

I really like Still Game. Shug the big eared bloke is great. Plus a dead good fisherman.
