Watched episode 1 and was wondering how they would fill a whole series, until right at the end of the episode - bloody hell!

I managed to watch Making a Murderer in one sitting (yes, too much spare time) and it was time well spent. Thanks for the recommendation.

There's a new collection of 'Forensic Files' for anyone who enjoys some criminal case files solved with forensics, all US based cases mind you but harmlessly stereotypical.

Thank you for the recommendation for Making a Murderer - only done 2 episodes but it's quite astonishing so far.

Narcos, S1 episode 8. Loving it so far but can't multitask whilst watching it due to subtitles.

Which is what makes it so good, you have to pay full attention smile

Try Spiral when you're done with Narcos, it's in French with subtitles, but it's easily the best cop show ever made (IMHO).

Nah. The Bridge was better (Swedish one)

Bron is good, no doubt about it, I just thought that Spiral was a touch above the others.

As a side note, I don't include The Wire or Soprano's as cop shows!

OK. Did you watch Salamander, Belgian conspiracy series.
That was good.
Broen was my favourite though.

I've watched all of them, but I think Spiral is still a touch better.
It was the ground breaker being shown on BBC4 a few years before thing like Wallander and the Killing made foreign language dramas popular.

I haven't tried Salamander, but I'll have some free evenings in the upcoming weeks, so I'll give it a try.

It really will have to be a solid 10/10 to beat Spiral, though.

Salamander is good. It's a bit of a slow burn to start with, be certainly worth sticking with.

I'll give it a go, probably start it at the end of next week. Still reeling from Making a Murderer, never seen such a good documentary!

To the other poster - just checked and it looks like Spiral must have gone which is a shame for me as I had been thinking about watching it again.

Spiral is very good indeed. I even had to educate my French friends as they'd never heard about it.
