It's on Amazon Prime, but The Protectors is very good (despite the st title). It's Danish, like The Killing, Bridge etc - but more believable.

Just came across this statement from Netflix, apparently they are to clamp down on proxies/VPN's in coming weeks. It'll be interesting to see how successful they are.

These aren't necessarily 'secret' categories. Netflix uses algorithms to group shows into categories personalised to you. Any other categories you've not seen are just categories that Netflix doesn't think you'd be interested in.

However I believe Netflix will always put all films into the categories it shows to you, so those 'hidden' categories shouldn't contain films you've never come across before on Netflix.

Anyone watched "escobar el patron del mal". 40 episodes so a few more than the Netflix version.
I'm up to ep12 and I think it's brilliant! I do like watching stuff in subtitles though. It's kind of like one of those Latin American soap opera type shows with the Music and the facial expressions etc. It's 70 odd episodes by the way biggrin

That's internally conflicting isn't it? Either Netflix filters its stuff to show me more of what I like, or it doesn't?

If a film is in a category unconnected to anything I've ever watched, Netflix currently won't offer it to me - I think that's what that link is saying.

The way he scrunches up his nose and also the way he sweeps his hair to the side after he's said something laugh It's probably in the "so bad, it's good" category, but it really works for me. I guess it is helped by the fact that the Escobar story is fascinating. I'm going 8/10 at the moment, I checked again and I'll be watching episode 16 next.

Reading today that Netflix are going to be cracking down on VPN use from as soon as next week. Don't think I'll be staying with them if it's just the UK stuff on offer.

I heard that as well. As you say, just the UK content alone is not that great.

Circle, 2015 Film

Not bad, not a Cube but something different, gets a bit more engrossing later on, but a few Budget actors let it down, but worth a solid 7/10, worth a watch at least.
Just watched this. Would work well as a stage play with its single set, and it kept my attention to the end. At times I was wishing the death of certain characters and the film delivered. evil

I doubt they'll actually do much though. They have a better service without cracking down.

+1 If I only had access to uk netflix I'd cancel.

What's the problem? let people use VPN if they want Netflix are still pocketing subscriptions.

I assume they are getting flak from the rights owners. No doubt there will be ways round it but they will have to be seen to be doing something.

They said that Before and nothing happened.

The UK is probably the worst region though. I spend time in the UK and Sweden, and the Sweden region has far more choice. Plus Friends. I love being able to just randomly select an episode of Friends to put on.

As they have just opened up in about 130 new markets, maybe they were turning a blind eye before because of the amount of users who didn't even have a local version.

I wonder how effectively they can block proxies anyway. I use UnblockUS and i imagine they'll be working hard to get around it.
