I suppose these medals will be the loser article we seem to have each week.

ETA: It could be the chap with the gold TAG, though hard to say what the other jewelry consisted of.

That 'red car didn't half sound good! wink wker!!! hehe

Bet the owner of the 458 will love seeing that pair of s driving his car like that. Who was the 'expert'?

I certainly wouldn't be sending my car his way!

Yes, I'd have thought plod would be interested too given the way it was driven, in a built up area FFS.

And £120k I thought it would be £140/150k i.e. 75% LTV...

I expect the 'supercar expert' gets called a wker quite often, regardless of what he's driving.
A mate that's in the watch trade recently had a gold TAG pass through his hands and it was worth more weighed in as scrap.

It's a tad hard to imagine those handbags and diamonds are going to end up in a gusset.

Hate seeing people trying to sell medals. She said it was to pay off the funeral, but then said that they'd have to not go on holiday to pay it off instead when they weren't as valuable as she'd hoped.

I guess we're all different, but personally I'd prefer to skip a holiday and keep the medals of an ancestor.

Was the 'former' model a trout farmer? she was totally up her own arse - wherever that may be these days? - her product was of rather limited demand I would proffer..

They weren't taking it easy in the 458. I wouldn't exactly have been impressed about them joyriding my car - having a poke around to see condition is one thing but having a jolly for the day is another.

I thought the Tag was pretty worthless, the value was in melt - as a watch there was nothing special about it. His idea wasn't exactly revolutionary, vendors have used those for decades. Just now it's adapted for cups and in other bars they just put it in a basket. It's like the answer to the question nobody asked.

It was a bit funny that the woman was talking about paying off the debts and how difficult it was and then said "I guess we won't go on holiday this year" - it boggles the mind how someone in such financial hardship would wish to take on the expense for something so short term.

Camel toe....is that really such an issue and are people going to buy it? I can see the point but it might be a bit rigid and uncomfortable to wear. I guess it seemed a reasonable idea but I don't know if it has any legs. As her father said "it might fill a gap" hehe

Exactly. Typical Dragon's Den fk up - the sort of thing that leaves Bannatyne et al with their head in their hands wondering why on God's geen earth someone would willingly spunk 50 k on developing a product with tiny margins and limited demand.

"Tiny margins" -snigger.

Why don't weemin just buy the right size leggings in the first place? Result - no camel toe.

I really couldn't work out the guy looking to pawn the 458 (but then I did miss the start of the program).

He's obviously had some success in the recent past in order to buy the car in the first place, yet seemed to have no idea of its value, and when the pawn guy came back with the price, he sort of sat there doing an Essex version of 'Tim Nice But Dim'.

As someone else posted in here.

"The good are there as guarantees, not to exchange if it goes tits up. So if you default on the payments, the goods are sold and then any difference in loan vs sale price is owed, either way.

So if the pawn shop gets more for the goods than your loan they pay the difference to you, if they can't cover the value of the loan, you still owe them the difference."

So he may very well know the value of the car and just be wanting to use it as collateral to loan some money for the short term.

In the US if a Pawn shop sells your swag, they keep the proceeds. In saying that, i doubt they (here in UK) realise high values or try too hard to get the top price. Case in point, the chap with 5 or 6 tag watches with a sales value of £700 all in.

You do have to wonder about some people though- pawn a 458 to get 50k so you can buy stock for a business. Live within your means
