I thought he needed the £8k for a metal deal that he'd put together and stood to make a decent profit from it (to then presumably buy back the car before selling it and moving abroad)

I thought the diamond couple took the news rather well, all things considered.
Couldn't stick the woman, putting the bloke down at every opportunity or being me me me. She was only joking admittedly but I couldn't stick being with someone like that for longer than 5 minutes.

Missed the start - straight in to an inventor of electric bikes. I hope something is special and new as EB have been on sale for a good few years now - have had mine for something like four years.

Dali's work was well, a bit "variable". That is simply hideous. On a par with the chavtat horse sculpture.

I'm guessing Electic Bike Bloke hasn't read any of the 2016 regs for electric bikes, didn't catch a wattage but the speed it was cracking would suggest greater than 250w which is going to throw a spanner in his plans to ride it without a driving licence.

Electric bike kits have been selling for quite a few years now, many as fast if not faster than 45MPH. Anything over 15.5MPH (on road) requires much the same as a moped does to ride on road.

That would be my guess too.

ETA: A friend of mine has a 500W that's good for 27MPH so am guessing a 1000W motor to reach 45/50MPH.

We used to sell Pedego bikes that would do that speed. They had a small rechargeable battery pack over the rear wheel, not that contraption that filled the whole frame. Assuming that's what that was.

Nice to see James put the necklace in a display box rather than the plastic bag it came in.

Agree! The programme is getting tired - last in the series, will there be another one?

I remember when I started watching it, they also did stories on the punters that couldn't pay and ended up losing their items. I would imagine James realised this didn't make his business look in a good light and only agreed to film more if they only showed the "here's me lending £50k to people" stories.

In answer to my above question, the answer is yes; a new series returns this evening at 7 o'clock.

No idea, was not mentioned on the programme. Perhaps the traveling got her down, as seem to remember she was not happy when first asked to work in HG?
