^^ true but I like watching what makes them become the eventual characters we know. I also got completely mislead re The Joker...I think!!

I am still enjoying it but yes Barbara threw me aswell, though this is Gotham, it is not too late!
Oh I agree, it's a fun show and it's interesting to see their take on the origin story of characters...just the one frustration with the show.

I watch it and really enjoy it, but, and it's quite a big but, we know what happens with the main characters.

I mean they aren't going to kill penguin when Batman is about 14 years old. So any storyline where he's in trouble, you know the outcome.

Repeat for all characters.
But we thought that we had met The Joker... and then he died.

In that case, why watch ANY TV show with a main central character that gets in 'trouble' you know that there are another x number of episodes so they survive!

The current Gotham "Penguin" is too tall. They'll have to replace him with someone shorter before Bruce learns to dance the Batusi.

Depends on the show you watch I guess. I mean if you haven't watched 24 you'd be a bit silly thinking Jack Bauer is going to get killed when he's on the front of the boxset for 7 odd seasons.

I've watched Game of Thrones, plenty of main characters killed off. Walking Dead, the same.

But watching an origin story show and then thinking a character that you know survives past that point in time might die is a bit silly.

Yes, but GoT and Walking dead have multiple lead characters.

Yes, it is, which was my point to your original comment. Let me ask it another way. If you watch the prequels to X-Men when Wolverine el al get into trouble, you know they are going to survive, so why watch and then say it's a big BUT in your enjoyment?

Anybody still watching this? I'm still really enjoying this, the story is really picking up pace, I guess that Barbara isn't the one Jim Gordon eventually marries (sure his Mrs in the Batman movies was called Barbara). I haven't seen this weeks yet, but look forward to it every week, one of the few shows I watch regularly and still really enjoy.
In the comics Jim marries Barbara Kean but I cant see him doing that in the series, maybe he marries the doc & names their daughter after her,who then goes on to become Batgirl.(unless its his niece he adopts who is Barbara, there have been that many reboots, retcons & alternative universes that it all gets fking confusing!!!)

Cheers for the info, I thought he married a Barbara, as you say, can't see him marrying her in this, unless she really does turn a corner or something.

Caught the last UK show last night and really enjoyed, looking forward to seeing what Penguin and Ed get up to as a team.

There was an article posted some time ago which said that people enjoy stuff more when they know what happens.

I watch Gotham, I prefer Gordon more to the precocious lil st.

I am tired of the looney Toons. Not everyone is the Joker. Nigma is an interesting character, but hate what they've done to Penguin.

Yet I love Penguin in this. I don't read the comics though. I hated (and still do) Danny Devito's penguin, creeped me right out!

Yeah, I hated that. I think that's where the freakness of the Penguin started.
I just lament how different all the baddies were. Joker was a psycho, Penguin was a high society thief (Raffles without the looks), Catwoman was a catburgler, Riddler was a mastermind. At least Riddler is still a mastermind in this. They were all quite different, and the rest. But today they all seem to mush into one.

Indeed, I think Penguin is going to be even more evil now that Ed has shown him that he's truly free and can do as he likes without worrying about his Mother.

I have grown to love this series - I love it when they go more adult-themed, rather than just for kids.

The polar opposite of this is SKY's DC's Legends of Tomorrow, cripes that's awful (one example is that they time travel back to 1975, a bystander comments that he looks like Darth Vader! In 1975)!

Legends is absolutely terrible, but for some bloody reason I keep watching!

The DC world is just a big mess. They're desperate to catch up to Marvel.

Anybody watch the Flash? I dip in and out, how was Zoom beaten?

I watch Flash and Arrow, but haven't seen the episodes from this week. Zoom hasn't been beaten as yet, still working through that storyline.

I enjoy the crossover episodes with those 2 shows though.

I saw a trailer that showed the Reverse Flash had returned (st name), but it was a different face. And I thought, 'what about Zoom', he had broke the Flash's back last I saw.
