Just finished the second half of series 3 and found it to be increasingly dull and boring, hope season 4 picks up a bit.
I must agree. The show sucks to be honest. The sound of the zombies are way too synthetic and overdone, it gets annoying.and the story line isn't that interesting.

There's been a lot of chat about the fourth installment on the series 3 thread, but seeing as it starts on Sunday and Friday in the UK, I thought it was time for its own thread!

Looking forward to this "new threat" and more "menacing" zombies.
So is it on this Sunday in the UK? Or the following Friday?

I hope 'Coral' gets bumped off. Little st.

Ace.

You know, Coral. Rick's Son. Oh Coral. Coral, no!

It's the way Rick pronounces his name.

Well that's all "In Your Opinion" to be honest.

Great TV IMO. It hasn't retained the momentum of Series 1, it's true, but it's still one of the few series I don't want to miss.

Carl the apprentice psychopath?

from Den of Geek - "Poor Carl Grimes. I’m not normally one for swearing in articles, but that young lad is fked. I think it’s a fair assumption that season four will see Carl continue down a burgeoning career as a psychopath, which isn’t really surprising after everything he’s gone through.

He started life in the series under the impression his father had died, only for Mr Grimes to come back to life and eventually kill his own best friend, Shane Walsh, a man that Carl had grown to respect and love as a surrogate father figure. Grimes Junior has been shot, nearly died and survived only to find that his friend Sophia had been turned into a zombie, then witnessed her being killed (again by his Dad), then had to deal with the guilt of Dale’s death after he taunted a walker in the woods and didn’t kill it, only for it to chomp on an unsuspecting Dale.

As if that wasn’t enough, Carl more recently had to endure one of the most shocking and disturbing events I’ve ever seen in… well, almost anything, when he had be there for his mother’s impromptu caesarean operation, watch her bleed to death and then put a bullet in her head. Oh and then his father went crazy as a result and started seeing visions of his dead mother, leaving everyone in the lurch."

Now you mentioned it, I'm replaying scenes in my head from all the series where Rick does that. hehe

The best Brit with an American accent is Morgan, played by Lenny James IMO.

Love the show, but it would be so easy to outsmart the walking dead and wipe them out.
Easy? Millions of dead bodies after flesh?

With the zombies due to be more "menacing" this time 'round, I hope we don't get fast ones.

In addition, I'd accept a tad smarter, but nothing silly, like Land of The Dead.

I liked LotD zoms, didn't think they were silly. But I did not like the acceptance at the end, and the zoms just sort of giving up.

From what I've read by the writers, neither of those is going to happen. They say they will stick with early Romero style slow, dumb zombies. I remember reading they regret some of the early zombie memory events, like Morgan's wife wiggling the door handle.

Hopefully the threat will be more zombies smile Lots more. Seeing as they've been making noise in the prison for a long while now, they deserve a monster sized herd or two.

It was a cool thing in its own right (bar the giving up). But it was disappointing for me considering it was a Romero film.

LoTD trivia: Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright have cameos as zoms.

I heard that Pegg was in one, as 'Bob', but I couldn't see him.
