Walking Dead Series 4 - spoilers will get their brains eaten

I'm currently watching the whole of Breaking Bad for the first time and whilst its great the pace is no quicker than that of TWD.
I don't know what everyone is complaining about - its a character driven drama with the Zombies as the back-drop and not the focal point.
I moaned that Breaking Bad was too slow as well! The Walking Dead is positively action packed in comparison! I don't know what everyone is complaining about - its a character driven drama with the Zombies as the back-drop and not the focal point.
Something that has been bothering me about the finale is the inconsistency.
The bit with Rick and the showdown with the other group was great. I can understand them slipping up maybe and allowing the other more experienced group with Darrel getting the drop on them. I liked the reaction of Rick and how they didn’t pull away from how dark it went. In many ways this was more shocking for me than Carols reaction to the little girl. I always new Carol was a bit unhinged and actually her decision kind of made sense. Rick ripping the guys throat out was great as it showed to what extremes he would go to in order to protect his surviving (as far as he knows) family member.
The bit that doesn’t make sense is what happens at Terminus. Rick Darrel and Michonne are the 3 of the most experienced survivors. They aren’t stupid. They clearly didn’t trust Terminus totally as they showed them burying the cache of weapons. Yet all 4 of them just walked on into the place.
If they were being careful then not all of them would have gone in. The sensible thing to do would have been for one of them, two at most to go in, scope it out and then get the others if they thought it was safe.
The other group I could understand a little more except for the soldier guy. However we don’t know how long they had been there so it may have happened like this and they all got sucked in. Ricks group wouldn’t have gone in so easily in my opinion.
I guess it was a production decision but it was a sloppy one. I am also aware that I may be taking this all to seriously and it is just a tv show!

Slightly O/T but this is always something that bugs me about TV and films. A group will always be looking in the same direction or at the same object - for example there's never anyone watching the rear when everyone is crowded round a dead bodyHugo a Gogo said:
why didn't at least one of them stay outside the fence anyway? or just one of them go in, act like everything is fine, "OK I'll get my buddies now"
It was OK, but I can't help thinking that if they were British (Rick doesn't count) they'd have organised a committee and started clearing up the zombies and making proper safe areas.
Instead it's the same tired old American gun nut WROL wet dream that we've seen in the likes of Waterworld, The Postman etc. etc.

Committees might work in Britain where there may be little or no chance of heavily armed bandits strolling in, capturing your safe clean area and enslaving you in the process. When civilization as we know it ends, civil behaviour will be gone too.
Give it some serious thought. How would you protect you family and home if the apocalypse happened tomorrow?.
This isn't a spoiler but just postulation on Terminus. It does reference the comic book though, and a character who is yet to be mentioned, so I have spoilered it.
Having read interviews with Kirkman and Gimple, they're saying that there is a big back story to Terminus and that Gareth is based on a character from the comic books.
Aside from the Hunters story, I was wondering if it might be Alexander Davidson, the original founder of the Alexandria Safe Zone. He never appeared in the comics but was mentioned a lot. He got kicked out of the safe zone for requesting 'favours' from the female inhabitants in return for their protection. Assuming once he was booted, in the TV universe he then found Terminus and has turned cannibal. Would blend the Hunters and the ASZ foundation stories nicely.
Could be very interesting if it turned out this way, would add depth to Gareth and would then give rationale for the group then going on to Alexandria when they inevitably escape.

A return to feudalism, a return to 'dark times'...scary.Give it some serious thought. How would you protect you family and home if the apocalypse happened tomorrow?.
Reminds me of The Last Train.
A brilliant apoc series from the 90s.

Fear not, there will be various committees formed to ensure that everyone was safe and happy.Makes me wish there was a committee now (why wait for the zombies?) to rid us of the murder, rape and robbery our present day civilized society suffers with.

Yeah. You can go and have your love in. I'll be along to rob all you pacifists every so often. Makes me wish there was a committee now (why wait for the zombies?) to rid us of the murder, rape and robbery our present day civilized society suffers with.
Make sure your committee gets a quorum!

Its like the show is trying to piss me off. They can somehow find full retard M4s and even a fking Steyr, but somehow cant find a .308 rifle or similar with a decent scope. Everyone just mag dumps on full auto, tries to shoot 300m+ with pistols, aiming with your eye patch eye ffs, hiding behind thin sheet metal bus when everyone is firing rifles at it...
Do they seriously do no research before they film the show?
I have really enjoyed watching this back to back for about a month but yes, I have to say that some of the battle scenes are very reminiscent of the A Team TV series. 1000s of rounds of ammunition and barely a scratch.Do they seriously do no research before they film the show?
Funny that they can all do head shots with pistols when it's a Zombie threat but can't hit anything with a fully auto M4A1 when it's a human threat
Still I bloody loved it, slow bits and 'all.
Just watched the finale, there was some significant foretelling going on; Rick with the rabbit trap at the beginning, how it follows the path and slips into the noose, the second I spotted was the flashbacks with Herschel about 'farming'. The Terminus crew want to breed/fatten the 'feral pigs' which are 'easily tamed'.
Why waste time and effort (and danger) hunting when you can simply lure your prey and wait for it to arrive in the trap?
The only thing that doesn't make sense, as others have mentioned, is the complete lack of suspicion on the part of Glenn (and more so the ex-Army dude who walked straight into the trap too) and Rick/Daryl who also didn't have a 'plan b' in the event the Terminus lot were mentalists.
Finally I also watched the scene with Carol and the two girls - christ that was brutal. First time in a while I've sat there thinking, "She's a liability - what they ought to do is take her out the back and shoot her..." and then 60 seconds later it happened...

I thought "Coral" was just a PH thing, I guess it's t'internet wide, or this was done by a Ph'er (or the poster).
In which case
I used the name on here ages ago, and then I started seeing it elsewhere. I'm not claiming responsibility for it though! In which case
(By "fault", I mean it's genius and I'm pissed off I didn't think of it! )
